Disclaimer: Most of the contents in this book doesn't belong to me but from the original author name NaranNarman, the author of the original Synthetic Survivor. The reason I made this book was create a better version of it, because some part of the story isn't good and doesn't make any sense, so I'll rewrite it then. While the original author seems retires and didn't complete the whole story, I might just gonna complete it for him. And also, in this book, the characters and the outcome of the story is similar, I added an extra twist to make the story very thrill. And I change the names from the orginal book cause I felt like it. The Cyclop

Surrounded by thousands more goblins, the Cyclops alongside with heavy armored Hobgoblins, both cried out a roar that sent shivers down the spines of everyone except for Artemis, who was spineless in a way that he did not have the ability to feel the shiver.

He wasn't afraid.

No…

He doesn't have fear to begin with.

The Cyclop was armed with a big mace, the mages in Artemis' group suddenly turned pale, the reason is that they felt an immense amount of Magical energy inside it that is almost to the World Item level. Without Artemis present, no doubt the Cyclop alone could take on the entire unit without breaking a sweat in a small period of time.

Cyclops were originally at <C> rank, but given the fact that this world could strengthen beings at a fast rate, except things that can't be stronger, like Death knights for example.

But this was a strange occurrence, a Cyclops leading an army of goblins, hobgoblins, and even Goblin Grandmages.

The Cyclop pointed his mace not at the knights that at first glance seemed to be the main problem for the goblin army, but at Artemis.

The Cyclop wasn't as dumb as it seemed. Seeing the huge number of goblin bodies around this Man in Black, his immense killing intent, and the fact that he was staring down the cyclops itself without flinching was enough to say that he was their main obstacle.

The army around the Cyclops charged while the Cyclops stayed behind, thinking that his army could overrun the Man in Black easily.

But he was so dead wrong.

As soon as the first 200 goblins were in range, Artemis dashed to meet them, startling the goblins with his speed and agility.

He drew out his two energy blades seemingly from thin air and sliced the goblins two and four at a time depending on how close they were to each other.

The few Hobgoblins in the back all began to charge and raise their weapons to strike the Man in Black down.

However…

Artemis spun around, jumped, and bashed their heads together before splitting apart their stomachs with a single hack to the side.

The other goblins, however, did not turn tail and run like the goblins before them. Instead, they kept on coming.

The reason being that if they ran, the Cyclops would undoubtedly kill them instead.

It's either kill the man in black or be killed by both.

As Artemis kills another dozen Goblins, he senses multiple heat signatures coming behind them, but it's on top, and it's no doubt a fire spell.

Looking behind him, he spotted multiple {Fireball} spells were heading towards him, it only took a split second of him to realize it was the Goblin Mages.

As he was to split the fireballs into two, a magic barrier appeared in front of him, blocking the magic attacks.

Noticing another presence to his left, Toby went beside him casting his magic.

"You do know I can tank them right?" Artemis said.

"I know, but we can't just do nothing. You can just take the big ones while we'll take the rest," Toby replied.

Artemis nodded as he knew Toby's words were right. With a wave of goodbye, he disappeared and continued his killing spree.

Nodding at him back, Toby, with the rest of the mages and knights all began to fight the army.

"{Lightning!}" Casting his spell, Toby shot lightning from his palms that went on a straight line, killing one of the Goblin mages.

Not before long the other mages with him all casting spells, bombarding and killing as many goblins as possible, same as the knights as they slash and bash the army of goblins, decreasing their numbers greatly.

Now, the one thousand numbers of forces that surrounded the Cyclops were now cut to a mere forty in numbers.

They had expected Artemis to run out of energy but so far, he was going strong as if he felt no fatigue.

Before long, the last goblin sent against him lay dead on the grass, their blood spilled among nature, the smell of which drew in more goblins from the area.

The Cyclops, seeing how his pawns were easily taken care of by a mere human, roared his loudest and charged at Artemis at supersonic speed.

Toby, the few mages, and the knights were busy fighting but all had to turn their heads in surprise seeing the cyclops goes fast as that, no doubt that the Cyclops is definitely at the B-rank range.

But it's not its strength they were worrying about, it's the weapon it wields. Judging by the magic flow they felt, it is almost World class.

As the Cyclops charged at Artemis with all his might and his magic Mace up above his head, ready to strike.

Artemis returned the favor and dashed towards the Cyclops.

"Lord Erik!" Toby, the mages, and the knights shouted in unison, they were all concerned.

But just as the Cyclops swung his mace from above his head towards the ground, Artemis returned his two energy swords into his pockets.

Using his hands, he punched the magic mace with all his might.

The Mace its wielding is a powerful magic artifact that was able to mimic the attack potency from the attacker.

It is expected that Artemis' fist and the mace were so evenly matched that they failed to make a dent into each other.

Instead, it sent out a powerful shockwave that launched anyone back dozens of feet away, flattened the grass floor binding at the ground, breaking many branches on trees, creating a few landslides on several mountains nearby, and clearing the clouds in the sky.

Seeing such a destructive level for the first time in his life, the Cyclops himself was slightly startled to the point that he stepped back. Artemis then capitalized and leapt towards the Cyclops left arm, destroying the magic armor with his bare hands then burying his sharp hands into its exposed skin, causing it pain and to thrash about.

Seeing their leader's efforts, the knights and mages, seemingly inspired, all charged together against the remaining goblins with a fury in their eyes, same as Toby.

He cast a dozen of {Fireballs} infused with explosion magic that he sent flying towards the goblins that still came out of the treeline, exploding upon impact and sending the goblins flying in the air.

Meanwhile, the ground shook as the Cyclops struggled with the man in black who was now against the nape of neck. Artemis clung on to its otherwise sleazy skin and drew out one of his energy swords.

The Cyclops then swung his mace in a clockwise fashion and spun around in a vain attempt to get rid of the man in black.

Artemis then grabbed hold against the skin at the back of the Cyclops' head. The monster cried out in pain and in a last ditch effort, tried to crush Artemis by jumping onto its back.

Artemis, predicting its moves, changed his position as soon as the Cyclops jumped. He pulled his way to the monster's face and without a second to waste, pulled out his other energy sword and sunk them deep into the Cyclops eyes, blinding it.

As it fell to the ground, the Cyclops realized that it doomed itself. Artemis cut out its nerves to its arms, paralyzing it and preventing the Cyclops from mounting a successful defense. With the nerves to his arms severed and his eyes blinded, Artemis slit its throat without resistance and jumped off.

The Cyclops thrashed as blood spewed from its major artery in the neck.

It was a gruesome death and Artemis was covered in both the blood of the Cyclops and the goblins before it.

The remaining goblins that were fighting the knights and mages immediately turned their backs and tried to run away but the knights weren't going to let them.

The last goblin was impaled by many thorn roots coming from the ground by one of the mages.

[You did splendidly, dear!] Caitlyn yelled as she praised her husband.

Artemis smiled as he looked at the dead Cyclop behind him.

Their surroundings were littered with tens of thousands of dead goblins. The knights and mages were very tired and so was Toby, having exhausted 3/4 of his mana in the fight, more than he had anticipated.

Artemis then walked over the Cyclop's body, mainly the magic Mace it has, he then took and inspecting for a few seconds before looked at his men who were watching him.

With the sun shining above them, Artemis raised the Mace and proclaimed victory.

And the men rejoiced.
