Far From Reality But Can Still Be a Possibility
Time went on until the formal banquet for the ascension celebration of Emperor Ru Shi has finally arrived. The palace made every lavish food that are available throughout the region and served them in each corner of the banquet hall. Everyone was enjoying their meal when the Emperor of Hong Empire first gives his congratulatory speech to Emperor Ru Shi.
"The people in Ru Empire is blessed with a new emperor and the old emperor guiding him! May the business of Hong Empire and Ru empire will prosper to its peak until we will be the richest in the entire universe! Congratulations Emperor Ru Shi for having the seat of the throne! Cheers to Emperor Ru Shi!" Emperor Hong Te said and everybody applauded.
Next to offer a speech was his friend, Emperor He Mo. It was a long speech that the emperor of He Empire had been prepared before he set his journey to the Ru Empire. Emperor He Mo had expressed his support to him in case of unforeseen troubles. After the speech was delivered, Emperor Ru Shi slightly become teary. And then lastly, the Ru Emperor himself, made a sincere and promising speech to address his citizens.
The whole banquet is full of grandeur and it is filled with people wearing fancy and flashy clothing. The incidents of the two archers during the arena fight were placed behind. Emperor He Mo did not also think about what the elder from Ma Empire told him while he was sleeping.
The nobles of Ru Empire were focused expressing their happiness for their new emperor. Some women in the Ru Empire tried giving their best performance when offering their talents as a gift to their new Emperor Ru Shi. Some performed in dancing others were in poetry and other literary arts.
While everyone in the Ru Empire is enjoying the performances inside the banquet hall, the other region is also brewing a storm! Inside the palace of the Huang Empire, three old figures are having an important discussion. These three figures are all rulers in the Region A. They are Huang Le the Emperor of Huang Empire, Chi Xing the Emperor of Chi Empire and Ma Bing the Emperor of Ma Empire.
"Emperor Chi, Emperor Ma, this letter is written according to my combat soldiers assigned in the Yellow River area. It says that there are no movements of the Ru Empire army for days already. The spies had also learned that the former Emperor Ru Ning had stepped down his throne." Emperor Huang Le said in an excited tone.
"We have also felt one of the legacies of a Soul Practitioner. The movement was too low for us to detect and identify which legacy it is but the location was confirmed to be inside the Ru Empire!" Emperor Ma Bing chirped in the same manner.
"Don't get to excited yet, my fellow emperors. The soldier of Ru Empire in Yellow River may have stopped their actions for a good reason. We must find out what they are up to. We cannot be happy until we will gain full authority of the Yellow River territory." Emperor Chi Xing stated.
"Pah! I think that Emperor Ru Ning may have surrendered and gave up fighting the territories. Nobody in Region S is willing to be his ally! And even if all empires are willing to help him, they are not capable of fighting my soldiers!" Emperor Huang Le beamed with pride as he told the other emperors of his opinion.
"In that case, I will have to congratulate you in advance Emperor Huang Le." The Emperor of Ma Empire said happily towards his fellow emperor.
"It's still early to celebrate. Emperor Ru Ning is a military man. Giving up does not sound like an option to him." Emperor Chi Xing said in a serious tone.
"That make sense also. We cannot be complacent!" the Emperor of Ma Empire stated while nodding his head few times.
"Indeed! You have a point Emperor Chi Xing. The Ru Empire had been fighting against us all alone. Maybe something had came up! I must find out what happened inside his territories. I will also tell my spies to investigate further." Emperor Huang Le responded in a serious tone.
"Hmmm... we must know everything about their plans before striking. As for you Emperor Ma Bing, since a legacy was also determined to be inside the Ru Empire, we can mobilize some Soul Practitioner experts to pay a visit and make investigation of the legacy's whereabouts. Emperor Ma Bing, you must choose who will do this job." Emperor Chi Xing ordered.
"Certainly! Now that it's not yet dark, I must travel back to my empire and make some arrangements. Lets have a chat some other time." Emperor Ma Bing said.
"Alright, you can inform us if there is a progress of the investigation later on. I will have to check on other things also. Emperor Huang Le, we shall not take any more of your time." Emperor Chi Xing commented before the two emperors silently exited the Huang palace.
After the two emperors went away, Emperor Huang Le called his spies and instructed them to make a thorough investigation of the Ru army. The Huang emperor also added other spies to check in the capital of Ru Empire as well as the Ru palace. After making his arrangements, the Huang emperor finaly released a deep breath.
Meanwhile, outside the Huang Palace gate, two eye catching carriages are waiting with several soldiers around. When Emperor Chi Xing and Emperor Ma Bing went out, they did not exchange any conversation. The two directly hop in and ride on their personal carriages and went back to their respective empire.
Soul Practitioner Building, Empire of Ma
Two young experts are guarding the pool of immortality when Emperor Ma Bing entered the place. This pool is where all soul practitioners are registered and each person's existence was recorded.
"Your Majesty." the two young experts give a respectful bow to their old emperor.
"Did you find anything?" the emperor asked them while glancing at the pool of immortality.
"The two archers from the northeast have lost their soul. The soul was extinguished before their body died!" one of the two experts responded.
"Extinguishing a soul! Is it possible? We do not cultivate and we do not possess a cultivation that can exterminate a soul!" Emperor Ma Bing exclaimed in frustration.
"Your majesty, we have suspected that the awakened soul we had sensed before was the one who killed the soul of those two archers!" the two experts commented. Emperor Ma Bing pondered for a long time.
"And somehow, we have a feeling that the awakened soul is deliberately hiding from us. Which means, this soul is inside a living person!" the two experts added.
"But I have never encountered of a soul living inside an alive person, your majesty!" the emperor heard one of them said.
"Have you consulted your master?" the emperor asked them with a slight tremor in his voice.
"The master said that it is far from reality but could also be a possibility. He is inside the library." the two young experts answered. Without wasting his time, Emperor Ma Bing quickly went in the Soul Practitioner's library.
Inside the library, the master of the two young experts named Ma Fung is buried with several books in front of him. The emperor sat on the opposite side but Ma Fung did not stop turning the pages of the book he is holding. Emperor Ma Bing did not disturb him and waited patiently for quite some time.
"That's it! This is the accounts of the late senior Ma Keiw! Your majesty, look!" master Ma Fung said as he pointed a paragraph of the book. His emperor immediately read it word by word.
Preservation of Soul
