11. Desires

Karma immediately let go of Ryuu's hand when he heard Anya's shout. He didn't realize what had happened. He was just so excited about seeing one of his favorite characters from the anime that he reacted in such a way.

While Karma was lost in his own thoughts, Ryuu was thinking about why she let Karma hold her hand in the first place. She couldn't help but recall how it felt. 'It was rough, and also...cold?'

Karma was brought out of his thoughts when he heard a stupid comment. "Moving from one girl to another in a less than a day, that there is a true man.". Karma glared at the man as his fingers formed into a clawed fashion. He really wanted to cut him up. He took a deep breath before ignoring man, much to the man's pleasure since he could feel the bloodlust Karma was letting off.

Karma sighed as he coughed to grab Ryuu's attention. "Could I place an order?"

"Ah, yes. What would you be having today?"

"Could I get some noodles please? Thats all."

"Alright then." said Ryuu as she went to place the order, but not before sneaking a glance at Karma.

When Karma finally got his food, he practically inhaled it before getting another serving and repeating the same thing. Now the other customers were shocked for a different reason.

Karma stood up and quickly walked out the shop after paying the bill and wanted to figure out what the hell just happened. In his inn room he asked Great Sage about what happened. "What the hell was that?"

[Host has gained skill [Blood lust]]

"Why didn't I know I got a new skill?"

[Host deactivated notifications after the 27th goblin kill]

"Ah right, but that's not what I meant. What happened just a while ago?"

[... Host has gained skill [(Vampire's?) Charm]

"How did the hell even happen...?"

[Skill was created due to the hosts wishes and the [The Eyes]'s continuous evolution.]

"How does that even work?"

[What happened to the host today?]

"Just the dungeon and....ahhh, I see now."

[Is that all?]

"Yes thank you."said Karma as Great Sage went silent. 'Hahhhhh I'm really a selfish person aren't I, for such a skill to be born from my desires after how I did things earlier.'

'I should avoid going back there for a while. I need to get some rest so I can go back to the dungeon tomorrow.'

Karma was now entering 6th floor. He had woken up late today, but he planned to stay the night in the dungeon anyway, so that didn't really matter. Karma could already go a few days without sleep, he just learned to sleep every chance he got.

Karma was really excited about facing the monsters of these floors. That was until he realized that he hadn't found a single monster on the floor. He didn't mind it and continued onto the 7th where he used a technique he hasn't used in a long time

[Seventh Form: Spatial Awareness.]

Karma closed his eyes and scanned over the area. It was unfortunate that his range wasn't as great as Inosuke's, but it was still quite impressive. He managed to locate one Killer Ant, and one was all he needed.

As he approached the ant, he kept getting the feeling that something was wrong, but couldn't figure out what.

When he got close enough, the Killer Ant screeched before running in his direction. He only moved when it got close, swiftly dodging it's attack and piercing it's hard abdomen, effectively pinning it to the ground.

He didn't have to wait long before it screeched and started releasing it's pheromones, which was exactly what he wanted, and crushed the ants head with his fist before firmly grasping his sword. He could hear the loud footsteps of the ants approaching, and it filled him with an unexpected glee.

The ants finally entered his sights, and the sheer number of them made him grin. He didn't know when, but he found himself walking towards the approaching hoard, the smile on his face stretching further, his heart beat increasing. His pace quickened before he burst into a run at full speed.

He was so excited he didn't notice he had a group of observers present
