There are four sword schools.

Provided you're powerful enough.
『Thunder God Arts』
Thunder God Arts, is a legendary sword school that began in Oruin in the early years before the Vayetran Calendar. This makes it one of the oldest sword schools in history.
Focusing on speed as its primary principle, the school operates under the belief that the one who strikes first is the one who wins the battle. The original six stances of the Thunder God Arts are focused on movement at almost god-like speed and are designed to take down opponents quickly and efficiently. The speed of the attacks is so fast that it is said to resemble a lightning bolt. Thunder God Arts is renowned for its swift and deadly sword strikes, and many swordsmen aspire to master its techniques.
『Black Moon Arts』
Black Moon Arts, is a sword school that emphasizes dexterity and fluid movement. This art focuses on the wrist and arm's strength and the fluidity of movement one can make with their sword. A skilled swordsman who has mastered Black Moon Arts can perform incredible feats with their sword, including throwing, spinning, and waving it in various ways. It focuses on one's ability to maneuver their sword with agility and accuracy, perfecting their movements to catch their opponent off guard. Black Moon Arts is one of the sword schools that requires a great deal of practice and patience in order to master, but its techniques can be extremely effective in combat.
『Sky Lord Arts』
Sky Lord Arts, is a sword school created by the legendary swordsman Gregnar Zergack in response to the Thunder God Arts and Sword Saint Arts. Zergack believed that if these two schools were the ultimate attack, then there must be the ultimate defense. Zergack then postulated that the key to a successful battle was not offense but defense. The techniques of the Sky Lord Arts focus heavily on evasion, maneuvering, and movement optimization. The Sky Lord Arts teach combatants how to evade attacks, whether with their sword or by any other means, making it a utilitarian skill for self-defense. Sky Lord Arts emphasizes versatility, emphasizing the ability to lower one's center of gravity to avoid attacks, as well as using footwork and body movements to stay safe.
『Sword Saint Arts』
Sword Saint Arts, is a sword school created by Saint Melcius. The school emphasizes discipline with the sword. Melcius believed that with sharpened senses, calmness, focus, and understanding, there was nothing one could not cut down. The Sword Saint Arts requires a lot of patience, endurance, and inner peace to grasp all its aspects fully. Sword Saint Arts also focuses on mental discipline, requiring that the practitioners master their emotions and focus their full attention on every movement. The key to mastering the sword was mastering oneself first. The techniques of Sword Saint Arts focus on the mental and spiritual aspects of swordsmanship, emphasizing the calming of one's mind and honing their focus. The school is known for its unfaltering discipline and demanding training regimen. Practitioners of the Sword Saint Arts are renowned for their impeccable sword skills and unwavering resolve.
「The supposed history behind the Sword Saint Arts」
It was 700 years before the Vayetran Calendar.
According to legend, Saint Melcius once faced off against Fafnir, the "most" powerful true dragon that was terrorizing the land. Fafnir was said to be nearly invincible, with scales as hard as diamond and the ability to breathe everlasting fire.
Saint Melcius knew that he would need to call upon all of his skill and training to defeat the dragon. He prayed to the gods for strength and guidance, and then entered the fray with his Sword Saint Arts.
At first, Fafnir seemed to have the upper hand. His scales were impervious to Saint Melcius' sword strikes, and his fire breath threatened to overwhelm the sword saint. But Saint Melcius refused to give up. He focused his mind and his spirit, honing his techniques and waiting for the right moment.
Finally, he saw an opening. Fafnir had turned his attention to attacking a nearby village, giving Saint Melcius the chance he needed. He mustered all his strength and with a single, powerful swing of his sword, he struck the ground beneath Fafnir's feet.
The force of the blow was so great that it split the earth apart, causing a deep chasm to open up between the Dragnyr Continent of Dragons and the Eses Continent. Fafnir, caught off guard, tumbled into the abyss.
It was then Saint Melcius created two continents. The dragons were ordered to stay in theirs (Dragnyr) and the humans and other races in the other (Eses).
The dragon was never seen again, and the land was forever changed by Saint Melcius' heroic feat. It is said that the chasm created by his strike can still be seen to this day, a testament to the power and skill of the Sword Saint Arts.
