Chapter 27 Lovesick

Ye Fan grinned. "I should have done it earlier. But consider it, and it is not too late. You'll find bringing the child out with a stroller easier after the postpartum period."

Fan Xi gave Ye Fan a big nod of approval.

Lasted a few days of the postpartum period. Fan Xi cared for the babies and Liu Su's skincare. What Jiang Hong thought of her, she had not cared.

It wasn't easy for her to get out of the postpartum period. When Fan Xi stepped out of the house, she felt fresh air.

The Liu family sent a wedding invitation. Liu Su and Zhang Yu married at the Yong Chang Hotel in six weeks. Fan Xi and Ye Fan's family were invited to the wedding.

"It looks like it is a done deal." Fan Xi closed the wedding invitation and rocked the cradle. She did not feel much joy in her heart but rather felt some worried about Liu Su's married life.

"Is it not that good?" Ye Fan said, "You still have half of the credit."

"Why's that good?" Fan Xi looked at the giggled Fan Le in the cradle, "Is Zhang Yu trustworthy, Ye Fan? Even though I've never met him, I will not let my daughter marry him."

"I haven't met him, but I hear he is competent. Although he is a small clerk now, he has a bright future."

Ye Fan commented objectively, "That's how it is at work, but I'm not sure about his personal life. The Liu family will learn about it when they choose a son-in-law."

"However, Zhang Yu's actions show he isn't committed to marrying Liu Su. He ends the engagement to protect Liu Su's reputation. Zhang Yu retreats first, despite love's ability to overcome all. Liu Su attempts suicide because she is lovesick. She only feels pain when she hits a brick wall."

Fan Xi had considered this possibility before, but it was inappropriate to say it in front of Liu Su and the others. Otherwise, everyone would criticize her, and she would feel embarrassed.

After a month together, Fan Xi discovered Ye Fan was trustworthy and didn't follow opinions. Since he was her daughter's father, she added more words.

"Lovesick?"

Ye Fan quickly caught Fan Xi's point and felt strange. He stared at Fan Xi thoughtfully.

Fan Xi quickly changed the topic to cover her mistake. "I will shop tomorrow. I start my moneymaking journey now. I am waiting to see how to make ten thousand a month!"

Ye Fan didn't bother to ask because he knew Fan Xi wouldn't explain. He smiled as he silently remembered this. "OK, I'm waiting."

Ye Fan also took the next day off and found himself at home with only Jiang Hong.

Fan Xi never intended to discuss going out with Jiang Hong. Jiang Hong would try to stop her otherwise. Jiang Hong advised women to stay home and care for their husbands and children.

After lunch, Fan Xi planned to sneak out while Jiang Hong washed the dishes.

"Fan Xi. I'm going with you. I'm driving you."

Before leaving, Ye Fan was worried and quickly grabbed Fan Xi's arm.

"No." Fan Xi hesitated before rejecting with a smile, "I am considering what to buy. It does not take long, and I will be back soon. I enjoy my day off. Given our mom's temperament, what if Fan Le does not eat enough?"

Jiang Hong did not hide her preference for boys. She had never even held Fan Le since she was born, let alone helped feed her.

When Ye Fan heard this, he hesitantly let go of his hand.

Fan Xi's claim was reasonable because his sister Ye Wan wasn't alive. She was definitely a studied material. Not yet out of high school, Jiang Hong started looking for a husband. She said, "Why do girls read so much? The girl must marry later. Her marriage is valid whether she marries early or late. What is the difference?"

That frustrated Ye Wan. The best local Yanjing University accepted her, and Jiang Hong invited the matchmaker over. After Ye Fan agreed to pay for her sister's classes, Jiang Hong reluctantly invited the matchmaker to leave.

Ye Fan sighed and said, "You must be careful. Come back early."

"Don't worry. I will go to my destination once I am in the city. I am definitely not wandering around."
