White Horse

Three days after the Su move into their new house. They were able to settle everything. Starting from their furniture in the living room to the furniture they needed for the cafe. And just like Daniella had told, the living room was full of Louisa's creepy toys.

The coffee shop will be open in three days and right now, Daniella's kids and Selena were at the market selling the clothes that didn't fit in their closet.

The market was full of people selling their used clothes. Most of then were from rich family though they had their maid sell it for them.

Selena and Alexa have decided to mix their clothes. Up until now, they could not believe that they need to sell their clothes. As much as they wanted to keep it in the villa, they couldn't. The villa has been shut down and no one is currently living there.

The market was still close, the management has only allowed the vendors to come in and prepare their table. When the gate was opened, people hustled in like bees.

In just a minute, Selena and Alexa got their first customer.

It was a mother and daughter, they were aiming to buy the purple sequin dress from Alexa.

Daughter: Mom, I can use this in my prom.

The old woman looked at the dress and to Selena, both eyes narrowed as she stood in front of Selena with arrogance.

"How much is this?" the woman asked.

Selena nonchalantly pointed a finger at Alexa and said, "She's the owner."

When Alexa gave the price which was half of the original price, the old woman gasped and laughed mockingly.

"Its more expensive than original," she said.

Her rude tone made Alexa raise an eyebrow.

With her eyes raging in anger, Alexa harshly took the dress from the old woman and replied with the same rude tone that she used.

"Then go and try to buy it. This is a limited edition, I doubt can you find one," she smirked and hang the dress back on the rack and irritably sat back on the wooden chair she brought.

Selena approaches her and sat next to her.

"Alexa, if we keep on rejecting the customer. We will stay here forever. So we better negotiate the price so we can finish this and go home," she lectured her.

Alexa harshly sighed and got up. Selena was right, they might need to stay here for a whole day if she doesn't suppress her patience.

Suddenly a man in a police uniform came. Alexa looked at him and found him staring at Selena as if he had known her.

"We only sell clothes here. But if you will buy out everything, I can give this seller for free," she said pointing a finger at Selena.

"or me but, then you will have to wear those cuff in your hand and sleep next to the man you put in the prison since I am still underage," she continued teasingly.

The policeman chuckled in amusement and took one of the branded bags on the table.

"This really looks expensive."

Alex scoffed as a response to him, everyone knows that the police doesn't get paid so much. She believes the bag he was holding was not even half of his monthly salary.

In the other side, Selena turned her back to face Alexa when she heard a familiar voice.

"Barney!" she exclaimed in surprise. Since she was new to town, seeing a familiar face somehow lifted her mood.

She walked closer to him with a smile on her lips. She was not expecting to see him at this hour in the market.

"Are you not on duty?" she asked.

"I am but Alejandro has asked me to accompany him. He heard someone was selling some human preserved organs and skeleton. He wants to have a look," Selena rose an eyebrow upon hearing it.

"You're in the right place. I know that someone but, don't worry they are all legal."

"What?" Barney replied in surprise.

Instead of replying, Selena squatted on the floor and shoved a hand under the table. She could see the surprise in Barney's face when she pulled Louisa out of the table.

"Louisa, stop hiding. You have a customer," Selena told.

Louisa who has been hiding under the table after she set up her table slightly pouted her lips and took her pad out of her bag and wrote down.

"Where?"

"Where's Alejandro?" Selena asked Barney.

Barney pointed at the table which was full of preserved organs. A tall man wearing a white polo and jeans was standing next to the table. His hand was holding a book of 'A Study of Biology' which was written by Daniella.

Seeing Alejandro seriously reading the synopsis of the book, Selena's hand absently went to her chest. She shut her eyes for a moment to calm her pounding heart, knowing that the man has a girlfriend, she knows that she needs to stop herself from falling for him. She knows that what she's feeling is not love since they had just met. It was impossible, and it should not happen.

(What the hell is wrong with my heart?) She asked herself.

(Am I having a heart problem? I better have it check) she continued.

When she looked at Alejandro, suddenly a sad smile plastered on her lips. There was sorrow in his eyes, his voice was so sad and she's wondering why.

She switched her sight to Barney but, her heart was not feeling anything. It was like she's staring at a stranger but, when she looked back at Alejandro, busy reading what Louisa wrote in her pad, her heart pounded once again.

(Damn it, Selena! He has a girlfriend) she scolded herself after she felt her cheeks blushing.

"Hey, you're pacing out," a hand waving in her face made her come back to reality.

Selena blinked and tried to focus on Barney but her ears were too stubborn, they were listening to Alejandro's voice. His husky and sad voice was making her eyes to look at him.

She swallowed hard, she could hear Barney calling her name but she was trying to eavesdrop what Alejandro was saying to Louisa.

Even though the whole conversation was about the sale, his voice was drowning her spirit.

(Why?) She asked herself.

She admits that Alejandro was attractive though his face was not a type to scream of. He was too matured and serious, the type she was not looking for.

(What did happen to him?) She asked again. Both eyes shining in confusion were glued on his face.

She wondered why he had a frown on his face the first time they met, and why the girl was not with him.

So many questions in her mind. Her head turned to Barney and called out his name.

Barney looked at her, telling her that he's listening.

She met his eyes, both of their eyes were full of confusion but with different reason.

"Who's Tiffany," curiosity pulverized her heart. Sweat started forming on her forehead as she waited for his answer.

"She's Alejandro's fiancée."

His short answer suddenly depressed her.

"Oh!" she absently replied.

(Fiancée huh!)

(What's with the frown then?)

She once again remembered his expression the first time they met. Her senses were pulled back when she heard someone laughing.

She turned to her left and found Alejandro writing a cheque for Louisa.

"I am not a stingy little girl. I was just asking for a discount," Alejandro said to Alexa.

"Mr. Stingy," Louisa wrote down on her pad after taking his payment and showed it to Alejandro causing him to laugh again.

"Your kids are amazing and pretty," She was surprised when Alejandro turned to her and said those words, praising her.

(KIDS?)

(DO I FREAKING LOOK LIKE A MOTHER?)

And just like that, the infatuation she felt has melted.

Her blood started boiling. Was it the reason why he was so distant? She asked.

And every nerve in her body became stiffed when she heard Alexa's voice next to her, asking her a ridiculous question.

"Mommy, what bag shall we use to pack these?" she turned to Alexa and found her grinning at her.

Selena was dumbfounded.

(Daniella!!!!!) She screams in her mind.

The only thing she could do to hold her anger was to curse in her head and tightly grip the heels of the shoes she was holding.
