Swan Song (or stranger things than death can and WILL happen)

Itadori Yuuji is not born a curse, but he did become one. Not willingly, mind you. (Not that anyone cares) On fairytales the prince charming would have broken the curse that affected the poor damsel at the end of the story and even if Yuuji denies the fact that he is said damsel, he is indeed woken up from a curse. Just...not where and when he belonged. Like the metephorical damsel/princess he decides that it's his time to really live (and perhaps even heal from his scars). It would be nice to live on denial about this whole mess. Too bad nobody will let him.

CHAPTER TWO: Nobody

CHAPTER TWO: NO LULLABY

What he has come to believe is that he was either hated or pitied upon his first death, it's a thought he can't help to have. Now he does wonder if someone would pity him for having to deal with the stalker that is Gojo Satoru…probably Nanami Kento would. (Will)

Gojo does not seem to get the memo that he doesn't want to deal with him and ignores every attempt Yuuji has made to avoid him. The worst part is he can't find it in himself to blame the man, he knows that it's probably for vigilance upon an unknown baby sorcerer, but this is getting to the point that he wonders if he even goes home.

"Ne, Yuuji-kun! Why don't we try to find your cursed technique?"

Yuuji puts a face that says "A what now?"

"It's something every jujutsu sorcerer has, think about it as a superpower you are born with"

"Am I one?" He presses, being careful in putting a confused face.

"You might as well be, or maybe a curse user, though I doubt you are a curse user. You seem too…gentle to be it, but crazy enough to be a jujutsu sorcerer, you kinda have the vibe for it"

"Okay…you aren't joking, are you?"

Gojo mock gasps. "I would never"

"I don't need to know you for long to know that you would joke about anything"

"...are we sure you are a kid?"

"For God's sake, cut it!"

"Nah, maybe you're just like a mini adult," Gojo laughs. "It actually makes my job easier, but whatever."

That's because I am, he holds back. Instead he shoots him an annoyed but harmless look. "Is your cursed technique why you wear a blindfold?"

"Yes, my cursed technique has a vision aspect of it, it causes me some headaches," Gojo says, indulging Yuuji's curiosity. It seems he is constantly indulging him like some kind of child, but he guesses it's because as far he knows he isn't from a sorcerer family and knows very little of the crudeness of this world.

Or maybe he's just looking too much into it. Yuuji frowns and pouts. "That was very vague"

"I'll tell you when you can appreciate the weight of my words, just know that I'm the strongest you will ever meet"

He scoffs at the claim. Yuuji knows it to be true, as he knows that sheer strength is nothing compared to Kenjaku's evil mastermind.  God, he feels sick just saying "mastermind", he really is adapting now.

"Yuuji-kun, don't be like that. I swear, you're a little too much like my Megumi-chan" At this he stiffened.

"Megumi? Do you perhaps have a sister or something?"

Satoru shows a wide smile, far too wide with teeth showing to be anything but predatory. "Or something. Are you interested in a girlfriend or what?"

This man!

"No, I'm too young to have a girlfriend" He grits out.

"Right, you're at that age girl's have cooties. You're in luck, as Megumi is a boy"

"And what is he to you?"

"Ummm, let's say he's my ward. Haven't finished all of the papers, actually."

"No doubt they're trying to see if you don't back off, who would leave their kid to you?"

"An A+ asshole, that's who. Gave me trauma and saddled me with a kid" Satoru says, stretching out in the place, ignoring Yuuji's startled look. Did he just…admit having felt anything but strong? "Cat got your tongue?"

Yuuji tries to not stammer, this is Satoru, not Gojo-sensei. Satoru who hasn't killed his old best friend yet and who is just in the process of shutting off. "What an asshole"

"Right? Anyways, I would love to introduce you two, but the kid is having a hard time adjusting to…well, everything and he's kinda jumpy. Maybe later" He stands tall. "Warm up, finished. Now we have a cursed technique to identify,"

After what seemed like ages- and a lot of acting like a clueless kid- Satoru reached the conclusion that it probably would be best that he used it on instinct and not through the weird ass tests he spent the whole evening taking. He was thankful for that at the moment, as they called it a day and he went to his house and chilled.

THEN, it turned out that it was actually just to use the rest of the week to scare him at random times to trigger the "fight or flight" instinct. Which would be great if it wasn't that he's in a prepubescent body and definitely not a curse. So he not only spent the whole week suffering, but he had to also think how to present it in an organic way that didn't mess up his body beyond repair. Which meant that he had to practice the more mental aspects of his technique.

It brought him to the dilemma he was in now. Does he love this version of his grandpa enough as to not mess with his mind? The answer should be obviously yes, but he's not so sure.

Truth is he wants to be loved, he wants so badly to be loved by all the people that he admires that he goes a little dumb and gets a little obsessive, not that he lets it show; he knows grandpa would have hated it, like he did every time something dark threathened to show in Yuuji.

He knows he is not being fair in being so angsty, he just can't help it, his resentment of how easy his grandpa is to be influenced by his cursed technique.

Where's the love when he knows that he is actually alone in this world, right now he is against the world and he wants to change that, he almost did it in the future that will never be. Now he is trapped on this nowhere land where he is not the person he wants to be, his life in pause and the time he thought lost and never missed is back at the price of the limited time he spent with precious people.

He's forever bitter that he's not made of sunshine or is the moon, he's not a far away star either. At best he's a supernova ready to bring down everything with him when he dies, at worst he's already far too gone and all that's left is a black hole.

Yuuji is a black hole and he wanted everyone that came too close to him. His heart was not made for loving normally, so it seems.

Cursed techniques are tricky nearly by definition and his was tricky as hell. How do you exactly use  a technique that lures, traps and tortures curses? (and sorcerers)

He could always just give him nightmares, mild ones. But he knows that even after all the resentment he harbored he couldn't bring himself to do it, even if his grandfather cursed him. He owed him at least that. (He owed himself that, he loved him, still)

This leaves Yuuji floundering for a bit until he decides to just "accidentally" activate it when Satoru is near.

If that night he goes to sleep a little bit regretful nobody will know.
