chapter 2 I'm in another world

After studying all the books in this house, there was nothing else for me to do because I was just 1 year old at the time. So I started to watch my father practice the sword and use magic. It was very interesting and cool. So every morning, I would wake up and look through the window to watch him practice. It was very interesting, but I wanted to learn swordsmanship too. So I started to practice the sword by looking at my father doing it, and I started to catch on to the moves and styles. A year passed by, and one day, my mom took me to the shopping district to buy some items. It was when I saw a magic book that I wanted to study. So I asked my mother if I could buy it. She said, "Rusius, we don't have any money for such expensive items. It costs 100 silver crowns. It's not cheap." She said that when I grow older, I would know that items like that are not to waste money on. They are needed to survive. I said okay, and I never said anything to her about it again because I did not want to cause any trouble for her again. So when I got back home, I started to try and figure out how to use magic from pieces of information in the books. I figured out that magic is a flow of energy that is in a human's body. It has five main elements: fire, water, earth, light, and dark. They make up magic, and by combining them together, you can create more magic types. The place where the magic is stored is in cores in the human body. There are seven cores: two in the arms, two in the legs, one in the heart, one in the head, and one in the stomach. The magic is stored in these main points, and if any of these points are damaged, a person may lose their magic or their magic would weaken due to magic overload in the other cores. This may be stopped if a person uses an artificial core and implants it in their body, but this was forbidden because it can turn people into magic overload beasts. Magic can be awakened by focusing on all the cores and releasing it throughout the body. If a person's magic is not strong enough, they can use magic amplifiers to help them boost the impact of the magic. I started training in the art of magic, but there was no luck for me for the course of 5 months until one day, when I was testing earth magic in the field outside, and it burst a five-meter hole in the ground. I was shocked because the times that I tried to use magic did not work. I left the fields, making sure that no one saw me. Afterward, I went back inside and studied some more. I figured out that if a person is close to a magic vein and has magic compatibility with that specific type of magic, it is amplified by a ton. After the loud noise, people started to come and look at what was happening. They saw the hole in the ground and started to question what was happening. But I was happy that no one saw me. Some years passed by, and I became 9 years old. I did not go outside that much, and the time was coming when I had to pick up the sword. But that did not bother me because the level that I was at was better than my father's, and my magic had grown through to the second core. I was very confident that my magic and sword training was good enough to impress my mother and father.
