Chapter 10 - Spider Chase

I could hear her spider legs patter as she walked to the middle of the plaza. I held my breath, thinking that it'll help in keeping myself hidden.

"Uggh... Stop trying to hide, boy!"

"Even if I can't find you now...I definitely will later." She said in a deep voice

"All that should matter to you now is..."

"HOW MUCH PAIN YOU WILL FEEL AS I SINK MY FANGS INTO YOUR FLESH!!"

Putting strength into her 2 human and 6 spider legs, she leaped off from the middle of the plaza onto the second floor. Directly in front of the pharmacy.

Forcibly pushing upward the stores half closed gate, she searched inside looking for any sign of myself.

"Already patched yourself up?..."

"No matter, I doubt you'll be able to move far with that injury"

I had already started running to the other side of the plaza when she had made her explosive entrance. Keeping my body low, I observed the seductive spider as she searched and destroyed every store in the plaza.

'How did she even know where I was?' I asked myself despite knowing I'd get no answer.

'I got to hurry and get out of here!' I thought to myself as I saw her veins popping out of her neck.

*Swish*

I passed by her web, unbothered by it. Until,

"Heh, found you ant!" She exclaimed from afar

I ran for my life. I can hear her 'feet' patter on the artificial ground as she got closer to me. I heard her sneering laughter from behind as she watched me tumble while running with my limp leg. I couldn't handle the pressure anymore, so I ran to the balcony and jumped off.

Or at least that's what the spider thought, when I suddenly grabbed hold of a large plant in the center of the plazas walkway.

After doing my best to hurry down the plant, I ran to a clearing in the plaza. The cafeteria.

I didn't have a plan or anything of the sort. All I had in mind was to run and get away. I threw chairs and tables to try and slow the spider down as much as possible, forgetting that the spider can just get around my mess.

But apparently so did she as she didn't pay any mind to my traps as she just ran to try to grab a hold of me.

I slid over a burger shops counter and bolted inside the kitchen.

Taking a breather, I crouched beside the grill.

*CRASH!!*

She hurriedly destroyed the counter. She entered the kitchen, looking around for any sight of me. The kitchen was pretty big for a plaza's fastfood shop, as she didn't need to squeeze around to walk inside the kitchen.

She opened the freezer with her human hand, when she heard a sound behind her.

*FWOOM!!*

Using the lighter and air freshener I lit that bitches face up!

*cough* Excuse my language, I was a little excited.

Screeching, she started covering her mask while moving away. Using this chance I ran to the back door.

Want to know why I didn't just leave out the door before? Well if she was able to tell I was in here, then she'll definitely be able to tell I left this place. And unlike in here, I definitely won't have any cover outside.

Leaving this place, I decided to run to the meeting point where Jason and I decided on. Hoping that Jason had already hotwired a car.
