There Are No Rules in Nature

"What the hell is that thing!?" Kai blurted out. He slowly backed away as the panther with bat-like wings approached him.

"N-nice kitty!" He said with panick. He had no clue what he was doing. He scoffed at himself.

Like hell that's gonna work! I need to actually do something

He decided on using Abberation of Light. He put his arm out to cast his next magical attack. Blood still dripped from his shoulder.

"Abberation of Light!"

The world around Kai twisted. It was as if everything around him were dough and a chef was kneading it.

Narcen's eyes went wide. He tried to back away a bit, however the twisted setting around him made it harder. "W-woah what is this!?" 

Kai yelled out Narcen's name. "Narcen, run a good distance away!"

His lizard-like jaw was open, as if he wanted to say something, and his face seemed conflicted, but he eventually gave in and ran.

Now I can use solar wind and other more wide range attacks.

Kai focused the point of abberation at the enemy. However it put up a magical barrier that left the creature seemingly unscathed.

Kai wiped some dirt of his mouth.

Shit. I need to try something else.

"Luminant Star!"

The glowing bright yellow ball of intense heat launched itself at the panther creature. However the panther easily dodged around and jumped towards him.

Dammit. Asteroid isnt fast enough to get to this thing. I think I have enough time for Magnetar.

Kai's eyes started glowing an even brighter purple sparkled with small white dots representing stars.

"Magn-"

Another orange blur came out of nowhere and smashed into the huge panther monster. Kai squinted his eyes because he couldn't see it at first. It was the crystal eyed rat creature he came across in the forest before encountering all the lizardman.

Kai's face lit up. "You're here!"

He made a tsk sound. Although I never expected to say that.

The rat monster was going nuts on the panther monster right away. The rat creature was shooting beams out of its crystal eyes, creating huge sear marks on the panther. Kai had no clue it could do that or it was that strong even. The panther's wings were flapping like crazy trying to get out from under the rat creature, even though the rat creature was only around 4 feet tall when the panther was like 7 feet tall.

The panther managed to eventually escape. They began clashing against each other with unprecedented speed. The air was vibrating from the force.

Hold on. Kai though to himself. This gives me time to learn a new ability.

"Book, appear!"

Purple energy gathered around him and the book appeared and flipped to the newest page. Come on Ratty, just give me enough time

Cosmic Magic: Constellation.

Description:

Create glowing white points in the air, where a hyperspeed beam is set to shoot between them. Never miss an enemy. Although the ability is weak and doesn't bode well against magic.

How to use: 

Step 1: Image where you want the points to be around you and what last target you want to hit.

Step 2: Shoot the beams and they will follow the trajectory at near light speeds of 288,456,745 meters per second, or 179,238 miles per second.

Damn. Near light speed? Kai smirked and talked softly to himself. "Let's try this out."

"Alright so image the points?" Kai closed his eyes. "I want them all to be in a place where they can hit the panther directly, with the last target being the panther itself."

He imagined himself shooting the beam.

"Constellation!"

Dots appeared all around in the air. The rat created looked up, distracted and was punched away by the panther monster. The monster looked over to kai and ran at him.

Kai shot a beam out. It instantly impaled the monster in it's leg and tripped it. The monster stumbled on the ground and rolled. Roaring in agony.

Kai laughed maniacally pointing at the creature now whimpering. "HAHA, that's what you get you motherfucker!"

He noticed white points were still in the air around him. He thought that meant he could shoot more out, and it worked.

Beams of light danced around Kai and the crystal eyed rat creature. One after one, more and more holes appeared in the panther monster. It's near jet black blood spilled everywhere. Over and over small beams hit it with immense force created by near light speeds. The echoes could probably be heard for miles.

Kai was laughing the entire time.

The creature eventually died. Holes covered it's entire body. It looked insanely gruesome, but Kai was too embellished in satifaction, that he really didn't care. Neither did the crystal eyed rat creature.

He looked at his shoulder. The blood seemed to of stopped mostly. He noticed how quick he healed. But he knew he could attribute this to cosmic magic.

He stretched his body and looked over to the Zenga fruits. Most of them were harvested and the bucket they used to collect them was gone. It meant that Narcen got away safely with the haul.

A wave of relief took over Kai.
