Encounter

When Kai got really deep into the underbrush, the rain finally stopped. The sun started to shine through the canopy, although barely because of how thick it was.

"Do I explore further?" He questioned himself. He looked at the canopy above. "Or maybe I should just stay here and wait..."

Everything about the direction he was going felt ominous.

He shook his head. "No, I should."

He proceeded to head further into the underbrush.

Kai really just wanted to go further because he was bored. The figure seemed intelligent, and he thought it might be another human. He really wanted to meet other humans. After all the days in seclusion, he was starting to become crazy.

The rodent creature followed Kai. He just decided to ignore it, because trying to talk with it was hopeless.

At this point, the jungle was super dark. Light could barely reach through the canopy, and the light that did was blocked by the thick underbrush, which was around 6 feet.

He thought that the birds would be chirping louder by now, but everything was dead silent.

As Kai got even deeper, he the atmosphere around him felt thicker. It felt like something was about to attack. It was like his cosmic magic was telling him something even though it wasn't activated.

"Strange.." He murmured. He looked around. The crystal eyed rodent creature was still there behind him, as unfazed looking as always.

He heard a slight disturbance in the air. He didn't know what exact direction it was from, but he knew it was up in the trees. He desperately looked up at the trees above, but he couldn't see anything. Looking through all the plants was hard.

"SQUEEEEEAK!" The orange rodent creature screamed.

The creature jumped onto a branch at speeds Kai didn't know was possible. He got scared because it was so sudden.

"Aughh!" A mysterious voice screamed. "Get off me!"

Kai ran to the area the rodent was at, surprised.

The rodent creature, was standing on a lizardman! He couldn't get up, because the rodent creature was around 4 feet tall, and pretty heavy. The lizardman was a bipedal lizard. Or a lizard that stands like a human. He was wearing tribal clothes, with many interesting markings. His bow and arrow was laying on the ground beside him. His skin was a scaly green. His eyes were a glowing yellow, with small verticle slits in the middle, like an alligator.

"Squeeeeek!" The rodent creature voiced. It looked at Kai like it wanted praise.

Kai didn't know why this creature was so obsessed with him, but it was least of his worries.

Kai glared at the lizardman. He despised them for what happened to his family. He knew deep down this lizardman was most likely innocent, but his evil thoughts were slowly taking control.

"Get off me!" The lizardman pleaded. "Who even are you!?"

He flexed his tail trying to get out from under the rodent creature. He was struggling.

Kai activated his cosmic magic. His eyes turning from an ordinary brown to glowing purple with hundreds of stars.

"W-what are you-"

"Shut up." Kai retorted. His anger was boiling still.

"Unhand me you human!" The lizardman interjected. "Im going to kill you!"

"I'd like to see you try," Kai responded in a playful way. The lizardman made an angry face at him, and started screaming and kicking even harder.

"Nebula," Kai interrupted in a slow tone. The air around him started to vibrate and high pitch tone started to play.

He wanted to show the lizardman who's boss.

The rodent creature jumped off the lizardman. The lizardman tried to bolt right away, but Kai wrapped the cloud of stars and dust around the him and lifted him in the air.

"GAUGHGH," the lizardman screamed in a muffled tone. He was trying to squirm out but to no avail.

"What are you going to do?" Kai asked playfully. He lifted the lizardman even higher in the air.
