The lizardman pointed in the direction. "You'll get to your destination if you go down the middle road, and take the third left, then take the second right."

"Thanks man."

As Kai walked through parts of the village he hasn't been in, he noticed wary glances. Mothers pulled their children closer. He thought all the mothers were at the metal shack, but he forgot that he only really destroyed half the village so he hadn't even met a lot of them because there houses were still intact.

Hunters gripped spear shafts tighter, merchants, weavers, everyone was wary. though they made no move against him. He ignored it and quickend his pace towards the large metal shelter where Karla and the mothers with young children were staying.

He got to the entrance of the path to the farm. From there he knew where to get to the metal building.

By the time he arrived, it was still morning. maybe around 9:00. He found Karla outside the building playing tag with some of the lizardman children.

He walked up to her.

"So how are the farms?" Karla asked as Kai lowered himself onto a rough wooden bench nearby.

"Someone told you about me going?"

"Yeah, one of the hunters," She said. She looked to the sky as if she was recalling something. "Man he was cool."

"Oh yeah," she added. "You didn't answer my question."

"Yes they seem to be flourishing," he replied. "We shouldn't have any shortage of food at least."

Karla smiled. "Well that's good news! Though we'll have to find some way to preserve or store any surplus. Build some granaries maybe."

Kai made a confused expression. "You know man, you are very strange for your age. You act nothing like how you look."

Karla smiled. "Hah, you think so?"

Kai layed down on the bench. "Most definitely, yup."

"Well, I'll be playing with the lizardman children," she said. They all were impatiently jumping at her to continue playing with them. "See you."

"Yeah"

Kai sighed. The thoughts of that voice suddenly filled Kai's head as he was laying down. The prescence of that being was weighted heavy over him. Now that he thought about it, he felt like it was watching him carefully the whole day after that incident of almost killing the lizardman in the metal building.

One of the lizardman children came up to Kai. The lizardman was a small girl, maybe about age 8.

She patted Kai's head. Her claws were oddly sharp.

"What's wrong Mr. Human person?" She asked. "You look bothered. How about you play with us to cheer up?"

Kai seriously wanted to avoid this, he thought about just ignoring the little girl.

She kept patting on Kai's head. "Mr! Mr! Mr! Mr!"

Kai shot up right away. "What!?"

The little lizardman girl backed away a bit. She looked sad all the sudden.

Karla was giving him a death stare in the distance. It seemed to Kai that she had the senses of a hawk.

"O-Okay fine, Im sorry. I just don't want to play right now."

Her eyes lit up again. "Okay! We can play later then."

"Yeah we can play never." Kai thought to himself.

Kai ended up taking a small nap. He woke up to Karla pushing him off the bench.

"Ouch!" Kai screamed. He got up right away. "What the hell!?"

"Listen," She spoke. "You need to stop being a lazy bum and help your citizens or engage with them at least! Let's go help fix buildings!"

She grabbed him by the arm and dragged him without letting him say a word.

"H-Hey stop!"

All he wanted to do was rest a bit. That whole hike he did to the farmland and back really wore on him.

They ended up on a really badly ruined street nearby the place Kai used solar wind to destroy half the city.

"Listen everyone." Karla announced. All eyes were moved on her. "Kai wanted to apologize and he will aid you with construction."

Kai gave Karla the "you got to be kidding me" look.

All eyes turned to Kai. His face was mortified.

"U-uh, s-s-s-sorry."

There was silence.
