Gathering of onmyojis

I was able to get out of this awkward situation in the end because one of the elders from before came to knock on the door.

Kyoko looked unhappy that we had been interrupted at this moment, but the elder had come for a good reason.

"It's time to go."

The elder said when the family head opened the door to see what he wanted.

Hearing this, the family head revealed a serious look as he nodded in agreement before turning back to look at us.

It was as if he was asking us if we were ready for this or not.

The three of us all nodded in agreement before he opened the door fully and went out while saying, "Then let's set out."

After coming down to the courtyard, I saw that there were many people that were already gathered.

There were some that were the same age as Kyoko and me and there were some that were the same age as Kyoko's father. The rest were the elders that were gathered around the great elder.
