Invitation

The next day Yang Chen woke up quite early. He had a busy day ahead of him. " What a pain in the ass." He sighed as he walked to the bathroom still sleepy and took a cold shower.

" Hey. Hey. Wake up dickhead." After dressing in his normal black sweater and long pants, he immediately smacked Su Mu's head with the pillow as he cursed.

" Wha- What— !" Su Mu hurriedly woke up with a confused and sleepy expression.

" I'm going to the Sect Master's place for a while. Make sure you execute the plan discreetly, I don't want any suspicions." Yang Chen spoke with seriousness as Su Mu nodded his seriously, albeit still sleepy.

" Alright ". He then nodded and left, before taking flight into the skies.

....

Immediately he landed at the secluded courtyard, Yang Chen immediately noticed three figures seemingly waiting for his arrival.

One of the figures was Min Lan who Yang Chen knew and could recognize anytime but the other two figures belonged to two extraordinarily composed young men.

Immediately their eyes fell on him, Yang Chen felt a somewhat gentle yet crushing energy pressure slowly crushing down on him causing him to frown.

" Not bad." One of the young men with a short buzz cut and a handsome face spoke as he saw Yang Chen walking despite being crushed by his energy. The other with long black hair snorted and immediately released a crushing energy that contained a profound sharpness as more pressure bore unto Yang Chen.

Walking forward, Yang Chen only smiled, as the six eyes flashed with silver light before every pressure beating in his body instantly disappeared.

" It's alright." Min Lan whispered to the long haired male causing him to smile as he grabbed her by the waist and forcefully pegged her lips.

" Whatever you say my love." The man spoke after a short kiss.

Seeing this Yang Chen was inwardly surprised, though he acted indifferent on the outside . Lucky for him, Su Mu and Mo Ling had already told him that Min Lan was an already taken woman so he didn't grow attached to her.

" Sigh." Seeing his indifference, Min Lan sighed and walked away.

" You must be Junior brother Yang Chen. I'm Xiang Tong from the ancestral Dragon Clan." The handsome youth with the buzz cut immediately rushed up to meet Yang Chen and introduced himself with a light bow.

" Sorry about the inconvenience earlier on, you see, we invited you here because of a special mission and hence we wouldn't allow someone who couldn't even withstand just a measly pressure to follow us." He explained with while giving Yang Chen a smile.

" It's alright Senior brother Xiang. I'm fine." Yang Chen smiled and nodded as well.

Just as they were speaking, the found someone walking out of the huge pagoda with a smile on his face.

" Tong'er, Shen'er it's been a long time." The sect master immediately smiled after seeing the two young men with smiles on their faces. One was his strongest student, while the other was his in law.

" Yang Chen, it's good to see you here as well. Come in we have lots to discuss." Ren Tianyou smiled and led the trio into his pagoda.

Taking their seats, he poured the trio cups of tea before he began explaining .

" First of all, Yang Chen, well done. Becoming the top inner disciple in such a dominating fashion isn't something this sect has witnessed in a while. Your results would be granted to you and your colleagues soon." Ren Tianyou spoke with a smile.

" Secondly, I brought you all here for a purpose. The Princess of the royal family is turning 20 in a few days time. All the top disciples from the various sects would be attending. And I want you three to represent the sect. Of course other disciples would be joining in as well." He smiled and spoke.

" Tong'er you and Shen'er would lead 5 capable core disciples, while Yang Chen, you would lead 5 capable inner court disciples. Any questions?" Ren Tianyou spoke as he sipped his tea.

" Father in law, for the inner disciples, I recommend Mu Chen as the leader since he has the necessary experience to lead them for this royal attendance. We don't want any form of disgrace on our part." Ling Shen spoke with a small smile.

" If senior brother Lin is unsatisfied with me, perhaps we can step into an arena and I'll prove why I'm the new inner court lead disciple and not Mu Chen." Yang Chen cockily smiled. He didn't mind giving a quick beat down before the event.

" You!!" Lin Shen raged as he glared at Yang Chen who had a calm smile.

" Enough both of you." Ren Tianyou dropped his teacup, as a chilling aura burst out of his body. " I've already decided and that's final. You will all meet here three days from now and travel with the second Elder to the royal palace." He added .

After the announcement, Yang Chen Bowes slightly and took his leave.

" Junior brother Yang. " When he was about to take off, he heard someone call him from behind and he turned around to see Xiang Tong walking towards him.

" Senior brother." Yang Chen respectfully bowed. " Don't be so formal. The thing is, I don't know if you'll be interested in this, but I watched your match with Mu Chen and I want to have a quick spar with you before the royal banquet." Xiang Tong went straight to the point.

" Sure. Just tell me the time and place Senior brother." Yang Chen smiled.

" How about tomorrow at the core disciple arena at noon? Xiang Tong suggested.

" Sure. See you then." Yang Chen nodded and took of immediately Superman style.

......

" You're back already?" Yang Chen arrived in his room and saw Su Mu relaxing and drinking tea. " Yeah." He nodded.

" Well, did you do it?" Yang Chen sat down and asked. " Of course. Our plan is now in full action, though we need several contingencies in case of any abnormalities." Su Mu smiled proudly.

" Good. " Yang Chen smiled. " Where's sissy Mo?" Yang Chen asked. " He went to get some groceries." Su Mu took a sip of his tea.

" I've got news for you. In a few days time, we'll be attending the Princess' royal birthday or whatever." Yang Chen spoke.

" Gurgle..." Su Mu immediately choked on his tea which caused Yang Chen to sigh at his antics. " And tomorrow I've got a match with the Xiang Tong ." Yang Chen added, and this time Su Mu directly collapsed.
