Chapter 173: The Collected Charms

"Boom!" Just as Nick Fury's heart sank, a loud noise reached his ears. His co-driver's door was ripped off by Alfred. Despite the vehicle's reinforced design, enduring such a long attack was already impressive.

Two sounds followed. The first was Nick Fury trying to grab Alfred but only tearing his clothes as Alfred dodged.

"Huh? You're after the charm?" Nick Fury was shocked. If Alfred didn't know about the charm, he could use his indestructibility and tricks to buy time. But now that Alfred knew, his tricks wouldn't work.

"Heh!" A cold smile appeared on Alfred's face as he approached Nick Fury. Just as Nick Fury got up to escape, Alfred caught him, lifting him like a chicken and forcefully removing the watch...

"Damn it! Puh!" Nick Fury spat in anger as his charm and watch were taken, but Alfred easily dodged it.

"Now, without the charm, can you still not die?" Alfred glared into Nick Fury's eyes with a chilling voice.

"Beep beep beep beep beep!" Just then, the sound of an armed helicopter echoed, and Alfred looked up to see a S.H.I.E.L.D. chopper approaching.

"Hmph!" Alfred snorted, knocking Nick Fury out with a pat on the neck. Calming down, he decided to take the charm back and spare Nick Fury, as per Valon's instructions.

"Boom!" However, sparing Nick Fury didn't mean Alfred would handle him gently. He threw Nick Fury carelessly to the ground, unconcerned about potential injuries or fractures.

"Swoosh!" Next, Alfred hurled Nick Fury's vehicle at the approaching helicopter.

"Boom!" The pilot, stunned by the vehicle, tried to ascend quickly but was too late. The helicopter was hit and crashed in a fiery explosion.

At that moment, Alfred had already left with his companion. When S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel arrived, they found an unconscious Nick Fury and a scene of devastation.

"Boss! I'm back! This dog charm is really powerful, able to immunize against death..." Soon, Alfred returned to the secret base with the charm, excitedly reporting to Valon.

"Valon!" It was from Alexander Pierce, furious. "How dare you attack Nick Fury? You almost killed him?!"

"He's not dead, right? Just a black man, what's the big deal?" Valon replied nonchalantly. As a veteran gang heir, he scorned someone like Nick Fury.

"Not a big deal? He's the head of S.H.I.E.L.D.! A key figure in our growth! Our current scale owes much to him!" Alexander Pierce fumed.

"Is he one of us?" Valon sneered. With the twelve charms, he was confident. "If you valued him so much, why not include him? Clearly, you don't value him that much!"

"That's because you don't understand! He manages S.H.I.E.L.D. to help us develop swiftly. If he became one of us, we couldn't grow safely!" Alexander Pierce retorted coldly. "But you must explain this incident!"

"Don't worry, I'll explain soon. Just wait!" Valon mocked, hanging up and contemplating the twelve charms…
