First contact in the Eastern Front

"This strange continent, especially this place would make a fine base for our Lord" A robed figure spoke in a chilling tone, his voice capable of striking fear that would leave friends and foes alike quivering in their feet.

"Indeed Lord Falmus, this land will especially fit Lord Fozl his mastery in the arts of winter manipulation, combined with the gracious power of corpse puppeteering would make for a deadly combination, truly a force to be reckoned with!" Another figure spoke beside the robed figure, this particular figure however late at night the scene was, was shining throughout her dialogue, her dark feathered wings stretched behind her back and flapped up and down, generating lift as they both hovered over their desired location.

"No need to patronize me, but still, these humans have been an eyesore ever since we landed, they have iron wyverns pilotted by those in the Far Western Nations said to be far greater militarily compared to our own, I wonder, how did they manage to gain such fine metal beasts" The robed figure named Falmus wondered, this was another continent that have been transported into this realm, it wouldn't come as a surprise that the great powers of the West would try and exploit such a large land filled with the unknown, for all they knew those soldiers on the ground are experimental units of their respective nations, it wouldn't come as a surprise for them however.

"They are nothing compared to Lord Falmus, Your puppets have dealt devastating damage to the human town, it would take a few more minutes for them to finally collapse. Kukuku, I am very excited to rip those beings to shreds, they do not have an ounce of mana within them" The winged figure spoke with poison spewing out, literally and metaphorically, a feminine voice that could capture any mans heart speaking with such a vile tounge.

"We mustn't be hasty Opi, their weapons bring much concern to me, a single strike from those tubes with plates attached would explode a target at a worrying distance, the same goes for the Iron elephants, it would be foolish to initiate combat ourselves, for now we wait and let the puppets overwhelm them, I have enough mana to support a million or so puppets at once"

"Amazing, your wisdom and discipline, your mana capacity to raise a million soldiers with a single spell! You will surely overwhelm this continent with the gifts of our Creator!" In awe with her Lord, she has been a servant of Lord Falmus for several centuries now, from the creation of the Demon Kings Realm to the sinking of the land of the Far East, she has witnessed it all in company with her Lord.

"Yes.. Something is worrying me though, Lord Fozl hasn't reported back yet" The robed man pondered, he couldn't shake off that something bad has happened again, this wouldn't be the first time this has happened though.

"He could be occupied eating humans from another town over, for now we should focus at the task at hand my Lord"

"No, Lord Fozl would usually report in an hour or so, but I have counted with my watch that over 3 hours have passed, this thought will not dissipate if I try not to think about it... Send out a search party to look for Lord Fozl's whereabouts, I sincerely hope this is just a bad thought and not reality"

"As you wish, my Lord" With that said the Lady with black wings flew away from the scene to gather their most agile scouts to look for the Demon Lord.

"Well then, let us play shall we?" With a swing of his hand he had opened a pocket dimension, taking out what looks like a board game with a map on it, laying it across the air it floated in place, not moving from even the harshest of the Motherlands sneezes.

A Road in the Town.

"Get over here!" A german soldier yelled as he told a trio of confused civilians wandering through the streets of their fallen home, the german couldn't wait any longer for he feared the sudden arrival of those dreaded creatures that wear the uniforms of his friends and foes.

"Kya!" A slavic girl screamed as she was grabbed by the arm, a forceful grapple to be precise, she was no less than 16 years old, the rest of the trio were boys of what looked like 14 and 15, making her older than than the two.

The german continued to drag the girl away, the boys shaking in fear for what the german soldier would do to her, they just walked with the two as well, coerced by his MP40, the german soldier and the trio continued to walk towards a relatively intact building, the german rushed into the building devoid of light within its bricked walls, he looked to the left and to the right, his SMG aimed at the direction he faced, with a flashlight he held in his left hand, he scanned the room, making sure that none of the creatures were lurking within the darkness.

"Alright get in" The german coerced the trio of kids once more, the reason they didn't run away was because they too saw the carnage those creatures inflicted on the soldiers, the Commies and the Nazis alike, they fell to the same fate of being turned into one of them, joining their ranks as a mindless, flesh hungry corpse.

"Sis, are we really safe here? We should run away while we have the chance" the youngest one pleads, the brutality of the Wehrmacht still fresh in his mind from the newspapers he reads about the war.

"No Nikolai, we need to survive, even if he abuses me, rapes me, does anything harmful to me, as long as he doesn't hurt you and protects us, we need to stick with the Nazi, we can't survive on our own out there" The eldest, the sister of the trio says, tears almost flooding out of her eyes, she was a beautiful and healthy girl, she was one of the brightest in her school and had an excellent record, she was very obedient and caused no sorts of trouble, she wanted to run away, it was instinct, and the fact that knowing that a enemy soldier with a loaded gun is keeping them hostage, even if she manages to run, she doesn't know where to go, the Red Army was losing against the Wehrmacht and now there were those things outside roaming the streets of her beloved home town, she couldn't handle it all.

She was to put it short, broken. She would much rather let someone else deal with this rather than come up with a solution herself.

"We cannot guarantee that, for all we know the Nazis are using those things to their advantage pushing Mother Russia back more, we should try to go with the Red Army."

"And once the Nazis reach Moscow, what now?"

"Premier Stalin has a plan surely!" The second oldest cut in.

"Shut up over there! The demons might hear us!" The german soldier barked, they of course didn't understand german nor did the soldier know russian, but they had to stick together to survive.

Remembering something, the german pulls out a small black rectangle, it had what looked like a metal rod sticking out on top of it, the soldier turns it on with a flick of a switch and talks to it.

"This is Koffman, can you hear me? I repeat this is Koffman, I am inside of a three story house or apartment in Tanya boulevard, it is a red bricked building with my units insignia, please send a transport truck over here." It was a walkie talkie similar to the AN/PRC-6, a handheld walkie talkie developed by the US Marine Corps in the mid-70s, but it was developed by Escherich and his colleagues at the SS Escherich Division, a SS Division with the primary focus of producing breakthrough technologies in all kinds of fields in order to combat this worlds native countries and its great powers.

"Leutnant! This is Obergefreiter Hartmann, we are stuck aswell, damned devils won't let up, we have to burn them to shreds or throw grenades in order for them to finally stop moving, I've been trying to reach the rest of the squad but they're not responding to my calls, stay there and switch to channel 6, that's where Command is relaying orders, the Soviets have probably taken some of our radio equipment while we were retreating so exercise caution when using this thing"

The soldier named Koffman affirms and turns off the radio, preserving its inefficient battery life, it was still being tested but General High Command wanted it deployed immediately, the model Koffman was using is one of the more later versions, it has a wider range of transmission as well as a longer battery life, still wouldn't make that much of a difference with the older models but it is still an upgrade from it.

Koffman looks to his right, to where the children slept with their older sister watching him with fire in her eyes, Koffman didn't mind, he looks away from them without emotion showing from his neutral face and looks out the window, making sure that nothing would get past his sight.

A minute of waiting and Koffman was already bored, ocassional sporadic fire would echo through the streets full of discarded ammo and ammo casings, destroyed houses and burning wreckages of tanks from either sides, an MG42 sat right beside him accompanied with a crate of ammo, it would last him days or weeks, maybe even months and a full year or two if he held off the devils with his knife and a crude bat with nails punctured out 'This is going to take a while' he comments in his head when suddenly.

BOOM

An explosion ruptured somewhere within the city, along with successive fire coming from an MG, by the rate of fire he deduced that it was most likely an MG36, he watched with bathed breath when hundreds maybe even a thousand or so devils went out of their hiding places, running towards the sound of action, the children woke up from the sound feeling mortified, their sister hugging them with tears in their eyes 'We are going to die!' they thought, he could care less about the children, it wasn't his priority but he made a promise with their father and he intends to keep it.

Koffman stood up, carrying the MG42 with all his might, it was really heavy, even for him, the stand as well as the Ammunition crate, he took it all with him to the second floor, to the third and to the fourth, until he was at the rooftop, it was a flat rooftop, nothing but clothing were hung up here, he lays down the MG42 and its equipment, ammunition infront of the door, extra barrels on another layed in cloth, he wouldn't want to get deformities from the barrel, he has set everything up by the time the explosions drew near.

"COME!" The soldier yelled in german, dragging the sister with one hand and the eldest brother with the other.

"SIS! BROTHER!" The young one yelled, repeatedly rushing towards the soldier, hoping to make him fall, couldn't he see that he was trying to save them three? The soldier was irritated.

BANG BANG BANG. Banging from the front door, probably from the noise, they looked at the door with terrified expressions, the soldier, steadily readies his knife, he mustn't attract too much noise to their position, it would just attract more of the devils to their location.

BANG BANG BANG. The bangs grew louder, he looks at the children, signing for them to go up stairs. The soldier looks back once more as he makes sure that the lock to the door leading to the stairs was locked, placing a chair infront of the door just in case, he immediately hides in another room adjacent to the room he was in.

BANG BANG CLANK! The door finally gave in on the weight, the crunch of the wooden door being broken into, he listens to the multiple footsteps from the wooden floor, clicking and clacking, the boots clicked and clacked from the floor with heavy steps, almost as if a body has been dropped on the floor, the soldier, Koffman, looks through the gap beneath the door, his pistol, a Walther by his side and his MP38 on the other.

Haaaaaaaah. A heavy sigh came out from the other side, he is terrified, the soldier of Germany, a proud soldier being reduced to a mouse caught between two large felines in a corner, the window across the room leads to the front of the house, but the large amount of devils from before could still be rushing towards those explosions and the children he was taking care off might become one of them, he just couldn't leave, there were plenty of opportunities before! He cursed in his mind as the footsteps drew closer and closer, he readies himself, aiming the MP38 right at the door, hiding behind a bed, the foam being placed sideways to provide some cover, the chairs, table and other sorts of furniture you could find in a standard 40s era soviet apartment, he threw everything at the barricade in hopes of shielding him for a little while longer.

"Come on you fuckers" Koffman said quietly to himself, as he turns on the radio once more and placing the earphones that came with it on, he flicks from the previous frequency until he could find the frequency his group was using.

SMASH! The doors gave in once more, splinters and small parts of the wooden door flew towards him as he ducks down to take cover, the foam fortress he liked to call it.

RAAAAAH! The devil yelled as it rushed towards the barricade of wood and cotton.

"DIE YOU SICK FUCKS!" Koffman yelled as he pulls the trigger, in quick succession bullets were expelled from the barrel, impacting the bodies of the Devils as they drew closer with skin barely hanging onto their muscles and bones, tattered clothing and drooping faces, he cared not for the appearances these devils used, all he knew was Kill. Kill anything that stood in the doorway.

SMASH! Glass shattering from across the room, it was expected, the scared expression of the soldier of the Reich, Koffman smiled grimly as he lobbed a grenade at the door and pulls out his Walther and shoots at the Devil laying down near the window, its face planted firmly against the cold wooden floor. He faces the horde once more, throwing his grenades at the devils trying to break through, he could only pray when he looked,

Right behind the devils, was the door leading up stairs, where an MG42 was nested firmly, he hoped that the guide he drew on the notebook he found would be useful, even though most of the words used was german, he recalled with a smile on his face as he drew stickmen holding a large gun, his attempt at drawing fingers and the firing mechanism, the reloading, the unlatching of the barrel to replace it with another one, he hoped they could understand.

Snapping back to reality, the gravity of the situation he was in shifted, he pushed the foam forward a bit more, trying to plug the doorway and get the wooden bedframe to face the window, hoping that would be enough to stop them, it was a feeble attempt, he already knew they could break down a door with their fists just fine so a weak bedframe wouldn't stand a chance, still, with that thought in mind he moved forward and ran to the bed frame, toppling it to its side as he pushed with all his might to the window where a pile of the Devils corpses layed waiting to be decomposed and sucked of its nutrients to the earth.

The fighting continued, Koffman versus a horde of undying devils, his grenades were depleted, the devils have already eaten through it, he checks the magazines to his sides, counting atleast 12 more for his MP38 and 7 more for his pistol, all stored neatly in a box, to whomever was here, he had to thank them for this, the grenades he found in another box totaled to 10, it was supposed to last him for an hour or 2, but he got carried away with the numbers he saw.

"I... I hope those children would be safe" he says with a sad chuckle, reloading his MP38 and shooting all of its rounds to the joints of the devil, if the head didn't work then making them unable to move would be more cost effective, a molotov would burn the house down and limit his view making it easier for the devils to rush into the weakened door frame so it was a no go, the explosions from the grenades and the shots from his MP38 should give his allies a general direction to where he is, but so far, radio silence, the explosions were still ongoing, not letting up, it was probably artillery then if that was the case, the Panzers and Pumas would make quick work of the devils, the infantry wouldn't, and it was apparent in their first encounter.

He fires his MP38 once more, not letting the devils any room to get in, chopping their fingers with his knife as they squeeze through the human sized door, at this rate the door frame might collapse, the window isn't getting any better, more of the devils piling ontop one another, gnawing at the wood, salivating at the sight of their prey, the soldier, he wasn't sure if he had managed to kill any of them, disabling them would be fine as that had stopped them for a while, reloading his SMG and spraying at the kneecaps of the devils, they topple over one another again as their kneecaps are broken, dismantled by the weight and width of the bullet, as well as the devils behind it stomping at the devils in front, it was a cycle of devils stomping over one another, it looked comedic, to him atleast, but those faces, that irritating groans, those eyes filled with hate and anger, blood dripping, bones smacking, teeth crashing, minute by minute it all keeps getting louder, like an unpolished orchestra, all of these would make a man insane.

He fired and reloaded,

He fired and reloaded,

Hoping that the devils would get stuck and forget about him.

He fired and reloaded,

He fired once more and reloaded

His face now devoid of life, the pressure had aged the man ten times, his uniform was ragged, his breath was getting heavier as he breathed in and out, trying to faintly gain some composure, cursing at the sight of the devils in front of him smashing through the barricade and the wall of flesh unsucessfully, maybe this time he has redeemed himself as a human, trying to protect the children of the enemy.

SMASH!

The German stood up, firing his MP38 once more at the kneecaps of the devil in german uniform, he had lost count the amount of times he fired his weapon, a hundred times? A thousand times perhaps? He cared not, all he needed to do was shoot to incapacitate.

Click... The MP38 ran out...

The devil lunged forward, throwing its body on top of the soldier, he reaches for his knife, closing his mouth and eyes and stabbed the devil in the eye, he felt liquids spewing all over his face, like a shower, he kept his mouth firmly shut, but the taste of metal had already touched the tip of his tounge.

He stabs again,

He stabs again,

He struggled against the devil, his face he felt covered with a sticky liquid, until the devil stopped moving he continued to stab, at the arms, at the chest, at the neck, at the mouth, anything he could feel he stabbed, hoping to kill the devil somehow.

"KOFFMAN!" A yell could be heard, sounds of guns being shot was heard next, the devils and its chaotic, ungodly orchestra has finally ceased, Koffman coughed, catching his breath as he pushed the devil aside, its arms dislocated as the devil tried to bite at the flesh of the german.

Hah.. Hah.. Hah.. he heaved heavily, as he rested on the cold floor boards.

"Boy am I glad to see you Leutnant" The soldier salutes,

"Hah.. Good.. to see yo..u to Obergefreiter Hartmann" Saluting back as he still didn't get off of the floor.

"The group is waiting, we need to get the hell out of here, the devils are still lurking"

"What are the objectives this time?"

"We are to secure a quarantine zone encircling the town, we have recieved the 102nd Engineering company at the forest, our jobs are to escort those engineers and wait for the bombers to blow everything up, we gave the declaration to the locals already and we have troops overseeing all possible entrances and exits to the town, with this we can accurately discern information about devil movements and possible outbreaks in the stations"

"Since when have we cared for the locals? Well it would give us a good image, wouldn't want this world to see Deutschland as a merciless and barbaric nation"

"Indeed, well we should really get going now, Infantry are prohibited from entering the city, the Armored cars and Flammenpanzers would make some great devil barbecue"

*Chuckles* "Let's show those devils who they are playing with shall we boys" Koffman said with a twisted smile, his eyes filled with bloodlust as he experienced the thrill from before, it was payback time.

"Sir! We have children over here, should we lead them to the others?" A soldier reports, the men look at the Leutnant with confusion scribbled all over their faces.

"No.. they're with me, their parents have been killed by the devils so I am adopting them"

"EH? That would pose a serious security issue, what if they hear you slip up and spread our plans to the Soviets?"

"They don't understand German and besides, they will make for some great soldiers once I croak"

Hartmann could only look at him in disbelief again. "If you say so. But if the Soviets manage to figure out our plans we are exiling them immediately"

"That wouldn't be fair, We have been through so much together, besides, I've made a promise with their father"

"And I intend to keep it"

"Agh fine! We need get going now, bring the children and move out! Los gehts!"

"Bring me a Sanitäter!"

"What happened to the rest of the squad? Those boys I lead to take the Fortress Mansion?" Koffman inquired to his friend with bandages wrapped around his hands and face, he had been badly bruised by the devils, it was surprising that he didn't even turn into one of them himself with all of the blood that was on his face before he washed it off with tap water.

"Radio silence, we tried contacting them earlier aswell with noone picking up, either the radios are at fault or their probably dead"

"Let's hope its the former, worthless piece of junk keeps turning off and on now and then, I couldn't even hold a conversation with the radio operator since the transreciever was busted"

"I feel you, I hope the lads over at R&D produce something that could replace this thing"

"What? With something worse than this? No please"

The two men laughed as they exchanged their ideas, they bantered, insulted and praised the people at R&D, bringing the tense atmosphere down a notch.

"It really is good to see you again Leutnant, last time I saw you was back at Camp Wilhelm, the days where you would beat us to a pulp just for getting your cup of tea wrong has lifted my shameful self to a man of discipline and strenght"

"Sounds like you miss those days huh?"

"Sure do Sir, it would really drive home what makes a German Soldat unique compared to our enemies and allies"

But just as Koffman was about to speak the radio operator in the Halftrack reports a strange report.

"We are recieving reinforcements!" Those words alone would have given the soldiers even more motivation, if it wasn't for the next part of the report that quickly turned the mood down.

"It is a pack of dogs and an airship?" Questions immediately arose in the soldiers heads, so did everyone who heard the report, dogs and an airship? What would those mutts do against man eating devils that don't die unless they get burnt to a crisp or combusted in a million pieces. An Airship would be vulnerable aswell, those zepplins from the first weltkrieg would give the more modern soviet airforce a giant target that could easily turn into a giant fireball of cloth and metal, have they really gotten that desperate? Was what Koffman thought until he looks up.

"WHAT THE FUCK!?!?!" He yells, everyones attention quickly shifts to the shocked Leutnant, his mouth wide open as he looks at the sky.

Everyone else looked up, and lo and behold.

A new weapon for warfare.
