Chapter 13 ....And Transformation

Unlike what Kim Baek Hyeon initially thought about Chen Fei's first transformation, he was in fact able to still see, everything, and hear everything that was going on around him. The feeling of Dr Kim patting Chen Fei's face, gently, the same way he did his Spinosaurus Fossil earlier might've caused him to reel back if he wasn't in such pain.

Every nerve ending connecting to every section of his body was currently experiencing this intense physical agony, and through the cracks in his eyes Chen Fei could see the physical changes that was happening all over his body.

All over his chest and arms, his body was squirming as if countless worms or insects were crawling underneath his skin. The bright crimson colour did nothing to hide the either the massive bone like protrusions coming out of the various joints around his body, and Chen Fei could feel the claws on his feet dig deeply into the concrete beneath him.

Ten long claw marks were left from where Chen Fei's feet were.

All over his body, a thick, black, viscous-like sweat was released from every pore on Chen Fei's body. The layer of smelly black sweat covered his entire body like a cocoon, slowly hardening and hiding his bright pink coloured skin, which had cooled down as time passed.

The pain was so intense that Chen Fei almost lost consciousness multiple times. The sheer amount of energy that was needed to complete a physical transformation like this, could only come from the vial that he ingested.

With only a single spiritual wellspring fully converted into spiritual power, there was no way that by itself caused Chen Fei's transformation. If that wasn't enough to go by, the thick, almost tangible scent of mutated monster and demonic beast blood could be smelt all throughout the room.

Even though no blood could be seen anywhere, the beast-like scent that was coming off Chen Fei's body was unmistakable in the wild. Any profession Knight that didn't spend their days either in decadence or as an official would be able to notice the scent of monsters and beasts.

Chen Fei knew.... he knew what Kim Baek Hyeon had done to him.

A huge crack appeared over the thick, solid, black substance covering Chen Fei's body. Several fragments fell off when this crack appeared, revealling a skin tone that was as pure as the driven snow. No scars or blemishes could be seen on the new layer of skin, and the figure beneath gradually moved, letting more and more fragments fall off as the creature beneath got out of his chrysalis.

"..... Ugh..... f*ck.....". Was the only thing Chen Fei managed to say coherently.

The fifteen year old felt a enormous amount of change throughout his body. Even without checking it with his spiritual power, he could feel the huge amount of physical strength in his flesh alone. This level of bodily strength should only be seen in Bronze Knights or even some weak Silver Knights.

Even the spiritual essence in his body had become dozens of times more vigorous, and much more dense when compared to his previous examination of it.

Chen Fei moved his hand upwards wanting to rub his temples, but stopped instinctively when he saw five massive talons appearing on his hand, instead of his normal human shaped phalanges.

While his arms may have remained the same skinny, white colour, all scars, belemishes and even the tiniest of freckles all disappeared when the pain disipated. Instead, Chen Fei's hands, which were at least double the size that they were previously, had become elongated, and much thicker.

And instead of a human shaped finger nail being present on each appendage, a massive, roughly five inch long talon could be seen on each finger. All of them were curved inwards, and were precisely the right shape and size for ripping and severing limbs from bodies.

Chen Fei's breaths become shallow and much much more quicker.

"I-I must be dreaming or something.... T-This, surely not, it can't be-!".

Standing up, Chen Fei couldn't help but look down in shock at the massive pair of feet he now possessed. Much like his giant hands and talons, his feet had over doubled in size and his small human toes were now replaced with giant dinosaur-like feet.

Each toe was now over five inches long, with one inch of razor sharp claw visible on the end of each toe. Chen Fei squatted down to look at his giant feet, and noticed that a thin layer of skin coloured scales could be seen where the skin meets claw.

Examining the skin all over his body Chen Fei could see that while almost completely unnoticable, the pores on his skin did take on a diamond like pattern to them, layering themselves on the previous scale in front of them.

Chen Fei brushed his hand against his chest and felt no changes other than the fact that all his scars and small freckles disappeared. Causing him to let out a sigh of relief.

'If I truly felt like a lizard, then I may have to go my entire life without touching another person again.....'.

The fifteen year old sat on one of the bench tops noting that his Spinosaurus was still sleeping despite a gradual beat coming from the scanners across the room.

Chen Fei narrowed his eyes, unknowingly, causing his round pupils to become slitted, just the his Spinosaurus behind him.

"Kim Baek Hyeon.... You son of a b*tch..... When I get my hands on you, I'll f*cking-", Chen Fei's words were cut short as the computer screen flashed on, showing Chen Fei on the monitor the scans of his internal body.

The scans from last week were present as well. Allowing Chen Fei to make a side-by-side comparison from his current self to his previous self before the transformation.

"..... Subject Adam has shown a 92% co-existence rate with the blood from the Eternal Night Serpent, Goldenback Four-Armed Gorilla, Green Phosphate Serpent, Four-Winged Wind Dragon and Mist-Seeking Rain Wyrm. All of which are Lord-tier mutated monsters and demonic beasts. The reason behind his high compatability rate is currently unknown and no further questions have been raised why Fossil Knights have a higher compatability rates than others.....

"Subject Adam has in his possession a Variant Spinosaurus Fossil with an Earth and Water Attribute. With this in mind, the physical characteristics from the Mist-Seeking Rain Wyrm and Eternal Night Serpent are the traits most likely to be present when the transformation occurs. Since all a reptiles, evidence of scales and claws are more likely to be present. Enhanced sense of smell, touch and most definitely hearing. Since reptiles lack ears and detect airbourne or groundborne vibrations, Subject Adam's sense of hearing would most likely be drastically increased.....".

Chen Fei's eyes widened as they moved from Kim Baek Hyeon's previous hypothesis to the notes made of his current self. Some of it was corrupted, most likely due to him deleting everything on the computer, however since the scanners had never stoppped recording Chen Fei's vitals and transformation, some of it was readable.

"Adam has undergone transformation after opening his first spiritual wellspring. Definitely not a foreseen outcome. Adam has experienced a huge amount of pain after his first transformation, more information necessary after the.....".

The rest was missing so Chen Fei's gaze moved forward several lines.

"Huge growth in the hands and feet. Talons and claws similar to that of a Mist-Seeking Rain Wyrm or a Spinosaurus are the most obvious physical changes. Skin has been purified, causing massive amounts of impurities to be released. After transformation, while remaining similar, has become similar to scales in shape and in function. Theorized that Adam's skin may no longer be penetrable by normal knives or bladed objects. Perhaps a Knight's strength would be needed to break through....".

Chen Fei moved forward more, noting the unreadible corrupted text in front of him.

"Internal transformation has produced the most results. Adam's nervous system and circulatory system has undergone massive transformations. Just like my inital hypothesis, Adam has experienced transformations that have made him similar in anatomy to the Mist-Seeking Wyrm and Four-Winged Wind Dragon. Unfortunately, no tail or wings have been produced. However, Adam's circulatory system has experiened the most change".

"The transformation has created a new organ within Adam's body. Nothing belonging to either of the two Lord-tier mutated monster and demonic beast, however a second heart have been created. This is probably due to the.....".

Chen Fei scrunched his face up deeply when he noticed that the rest of the information was corrupted and unable to be read. Unconsciously his pupils grew slitted and his talons crushed the mouse that his hand was currently grabbing.

Chen Fei reeled back in shock before glancing towards his hand, his gaze lingering at the inhumane appendage.

"..... I wonder if the transformation is permanent? If it is I've got to walk around with lizard hands and feet..... Wait? How would I be able to go to school if I've got lizard hands and feet!? Even if I am a Fossil Knight, stuff that that isn't normal!".

The fifteen year old cradled his chin in his hand, noticing that his talons couldn't pierce through his skin with the non-existent amount of force he was putting on them. Concentrating inwardly, Chen Fei focused his attention towards the spiritual wellspring within his heart, at least, his original heart and noticed something strange going on in said wellspring.

Normally, his spiritual power would flucuate from its gaseous like form to its blue raindrop like form, indicating to Chen Fei that his innate Attribute was Water. Since innate Attributes couldn't be changed, or at least, to his knowledge they couldn't be changed, his eyes widened and his mouth dropped when he saw the form his spiritual power was currently taking.

A small azure coloured tornado was currently spinning around quickly, as it passively absorbed the spiritual essence from the world around it. The rate of refinement was roughly double that of Chen Fei's Water Attribute spiritual power, and the density was roughly three times more dense than it was just a few hours ago.
