Chapter 05

Within the room where there was once a large group of people that had been summoned to this other world from an airplane in mid flight. There was not a sound coming from anyone in the group not a single one from a nary anyone there. They all were silent and quiet as they were even moving a muscle either however this was not because they were all calm, cool, and collected over their summoning to this world. A summoning where only they themselves were summoned. This meant they were summoned and appeared in this alternate world in the nude. Their clothes and anything else they had on them were considered a part of them. Merely something that they had on them and/or were wearing. So that meant it did not apply when the summoning process brought them here.

However, even in this state where they were all exposed to the cold frigid air of what appeared to be a basement area and they were seemingly in a large containment area within it. The reason they were not panicking or even looking around in shock and awe was that they no longer possessed the capability to do so at the moment. Not only that they were not even human anyone as what stood in their place was a group of human beings but instead a group of statues that merely had their forms.

This was true of all of them even the twins of Kate and Lina that were huddled in the corner of the room holding hands while looking directly at each other. The reason being was that the smelting process that they were put through transformed their very soul into a weapon that was considered in the remains of their bodies.

Mere shells were reduced to a unique form of carbon that was very similar to a diamond yet not exactly a diamond though. It was merely a diamond like however, the durability and toughness were surpassing that of diamonds as they did not share the same weaknesses. The only thing that could break them would be themselves and/or extreme heat similar to what caused them to form in the first place.

The expression on everyone's face was not a look of horror or shock but merely a blank and neutral expression caused before their bodies were reduced to just a carbon state. Their souls had already been converted and started to be forged into weapons. Thus their humanity was already gone as that had been smelted away leaving behind only their soul and the power that was within it. Getting forged into a weapon that lies dormant within the shells of their former bodies.

The quietness of the room was disturbed when people started to flood into it. This group went about the selection process as they were instructed. Touching the statues and if they were considered one of the chosen then the shell would break on its own revealing the weapon from within.

"How come no one is trying those two over there as they seemed to be rather interesting," one of the people said.

"Yeah let's go over there as they might not even be two weapons but a single one given how they seem to be just a single statue rather than two linked together," another said

Kate and Lina were unique as they were two girls linked together as a single piece rather than just two that just so happened to be linked together at the time. Pairs that were holding one another how that whatever happened they would be together as long as they did not let go. That proved to be futile as the moment the one that was chosen to wield them as the weapon their soul had become. Their statue would crumble to pieces leaving the other behind just to remain there alone until someone did the same with them.

It did not matter who it was as they could have been the closest of friends, long time lovers, or even a close knit family. Those connections did not exist anymore between anyone that was put through the smelting process as all connections and all bonds were removed by the process their bodies were put through. Not even the shells of their body could be analyzed to prove family were once related at all.

So they could end up with owners that would become a bitter rivals, the worst of enemies, or even be used repeatedly to battle against each other in betrayal after betrayal. It would not matter as they were mere property and thus would just do as is expected of the property after all.

When it came to the statue the twins that once Kate and Lina. They were still left behind unclaimed.

"What the deal with these two as I was sure I would have at least been able to get one of them," a person said

"I know man as that guy literally tried to put his foot up their ass for rejecting him only for it is shattered by it instead" another commented

As the said person was being carried away on a stretcher continuing to hurl curses at them as he was.

This entire time the two of them were just standing there in corner of the summoning circle holding hands. The only remaining intact statues were amongst the pile of rubble that all the others that were once a part of their group had become. Their souls that had been converted into weapons were not in the possession of their new owners. Yet what lurked with the twin's diamond like shells remained a mystery to everyone.

After all, if no one turned out to be chosen by them then they couldn't know what kind or type of weapon they had become. The type and variety would change as while there were overall types that souls would be turned into with that allowing there to be categories and educated guesses based on past the previous example and subjects. Each one was vast different in every other way. Just because two souls were smelted into become two different swords. The only thing they would have in common would be that they are swords and nothing else at all.
