Chapter 17: Meet My World

Elena was still silent. Yes, she suddenly felt hesitant to leave. There was something that made her reconsider. Keenan. She did not intend to go to see Keenan, but only to meet her mother.

Mia na was still not ready to meet Keenan. But apart from that, she couldn't wait to meet her mother and tell Julian all about it.

Ah, what if you suddenly meet Keenan, when she's with Julian ? What should she answer if Keenan asked about Julian ? For the umpteenth time she was faced with a situation that made her a dilemma. Should she decide to leave, or choose to stay?

Impossible! She couldn't possibly keep his mother waiting. Hadn't he promised to meet her mother soon, after the wedding was over? However, she had to find a way not to meet Keenan in the village.

"What are you thinking about?" Julian asked after waiting a long time for Mia na to speak.

Mia na came to her senses, then looked into Julian ' face, before she finally responded. "N-no, Sir."

"Then why are you still standing there? Do you intend to cancel the ren—"

"Not!" cut Mia na enthusiastically. "Sir, are we going to stay there?" he asked for sure.

"No! I can't stay there."

Julian ' answer momentarily made Mia na smile. Yes, she also wished they weren't staying there. At least, it would make it easier for her to avoid Keenan.

"Okay, let's go now." Elena walked over to Julian .

Mia na and Julian arrive at Briana's house, Mia na's mother. Their arrival seemed warmly welcomed by Briana and Martin. Mia na and her mother looked happy. Six months without seeing each other, they had to endure longing for a long time. Their gazes locked for a moment, while still standing in the doorway of the house.

With a teary face, Mia na hugged Briana, and vice versa. Tears rolled down their cheeks, uncontrollably. They stayed in that position for a while. In fact, their activities immediately became a touching scene for Julian and Martin who had been watching him for a long time.

Elena let go of the hug. "Mom, I missed you so much. Sorry I just saw you today." Mia na wiped her mother's tears very slowly. Her tone was a little shaky. She stared at the sad eyes in front of her, making the tears fall again.

"I missed you a lot too, Mia . You're all right, aren't you?" Briana did the same. She wiped Mia na's tears with a slightly trembling hand.

"I've always been kind and happy to Mom and Martin," Mia na replied, forcing a laugh.

After hugging her mother, Mia na turned to hug Martin who she also missed so much. The younger brother who since childhood has always been an outlet for his annoyance. However, after she worked in the city, that never happened again. Her busy schedule prevented her and Martin from spending time together, even if it was just to joke and tell stories.

Julian didn't look away. Seeing the touching scene in front of his eyes, he could quite guess that Mia na really cares and loves her family.

There was another side he had just seen in Mia na at that time. Mia na who is innocent, gentle and loving, also cares deeply for her mother and brother. It really made Julian feel amazed by the figure of a woman who had officially become his wife. An amazing figure who is willing to sacrifice his time, energy and feelings for the sake of his family.

Julian thought for a moment, realizing a mistake. It seemed he was so cruel to have involved a woman as good as Mia na in his game.

Yes, after seeing Mia na cry last night and now, Julian regretted his actions. Did Mia na suffer so much because of him? Mind it at that time.

Even so, Julian couldn't just cancel the agreement. He still desperately needed Mia na to repay his pain. At least Selena would be very jealous if she saw that she had found a better partner. After all, he also didn't want to lose because he had spent a lot of money on Mia na.

"Mom, introduce me, this is my husband, Mr Julian ." Mia na smiled as she introduced Julian to her mother. Not to forget he also introduced the man to Martin.

Julian greeted and greeted Briana politely. He acted like a real son-in-law in front of the middle-aged woman.

Briana took Mia na and Julian into a very simple house, far behind when compared to the luxury of Julian ' house.

They sat in the living room where there was a set of gray sofas. The couch looked a little shabby, which made Mia na feel bad about having to let Julian sit there.

However, Julian himself looked normal. He showed no disgust at all, even though he had to sit on the sofa.

"I'll get you some water to drink." Briana was about to leave that place.

"No need, Mom, just leave me alone!" Mia na rose from her seat.

"You stay here with your husband," Briana replied, then went straight to the kitchen.

"Sis, I'll excuse myself for a moment," said Martin, who also left Mia na and Julian in the living room.

Mia na just nodded her head in response, then turned to the side, looking at Julian . "Sorry, Sir, because I have to sit on this sofa," she said feeling uneasy.

"No problem," Julian answered shortly and then looked around the room.

After spending a long time in the house, now Mia na and Briana are in the room. They seemed to talk a lot in private.

"Mom, I love my husband very much. You don't need to worry, because he is very good to me," said Mia na when Briana was again worried about her marriage to Julian .

At first, Mia na intended to tell the truth to her mother. However, for some reason it seemed as if something was blocking her mouth, so she gave up the intention. She had to lie to keep her mother from worrying.

"I know. From the first time I saw him, I could tell that Julian was a good man. From the way he behaved and spoke, I'm sure he will treat you well, Mia . I'm happy if you are happy with your marriage." Briana seemed to put her hand on the back of Mia na's hand.

Mia na smiled, but for a moment her face shrank again. She looked seriously at his mother's face. "Mother, does Keenan still come here often?"

Briana was silent for a moment, staring at the sad glare in front of her. "Yes, yesterday he was here, he told me that you were avoiding him. This morning he was also here. Didn't he call you?"

"No, ma'am. I turned off my phone on purpose." Elena shook her head.

Briana snorted for a moment, before finally continuing the conversation. "You know what? Today he went after you to the city," she said, which suddenly took Mia na by surprise.

"What?" Mia na rounded perfectly. Furthermore he was very worried about his fate, what if Keenan got information about his marriage to Julian ? she thought.

"Why didn't you tell Keenan about your marriage?" Briana asked curiously. "Actually what happened to you guys, why did you suddenly marry another man?"

Elena thought for a moment. "I just don't have the courage to say I don't love him anymore, Mom. Now, I have Julian who loves me so much." Elena cracked a smile. He deliberately lied and didn't want to worry her mother.

"I hope you resolve your problem with Keenan soon. I am very sorry to see him so frustrated with you." Briana looked at her expectantly.

"Okay, Mom. Don't worry too much about it."

After discussing various things. Because it was getting late, Mia na decided to end their conversation.

"You take good care of yourself, Mia . Never argue with your husband, serve him well. I know Julian is a good person and won't hurt you," Briana said after Mia na said she would soon return to town.

"Yes, Mom, I will remember your message," replied Mia na.

They immediately exited the room and found Julian who was still sitting on the sofa with Martin.

"Julian , I'm leaving Mia na with you, take good care of her. I beg you, don't hurt her one bit!" Briana said to Julian .

"Okay, Mom, I'll take good care of Mia na. You don't have to worry," Julian answered very kindly.

"Oh yes, I thank you for your kindness, so that our debts are settled," Briana said flatly.
