Chapter 89 THE THIEF

NAYA’S P O V

‘‘I didn’t steal anything!’’ I was holding my bag tightly in my hands and having a hard time letting go of it because I was so terrified that they might discover something inside of it.

Raphael called me earlier before I left the office. He told me not to go home yet because he was going to treat me to dinner. He had made some money, and he wanted us to reward ourselves for working so hard. He asked me to go to this high-end club, and wait for him there, where his boss was having a meeting with some client.

As I stepped inside the club, I was greeted by loud music, and I winced, looking around for a quiet spot to stay for a while until Raphael arrived. But then I suddenly felt the urge to pee, so I made a beeline to the restroom.

My only mistake was that I left my bag on the counter while doing my thing, and now I was scared someone might’ve framed me up.
