Arriving at the apartment area, Noa compressed his motorboard and walked towards the front of the elevator.
When the elevator door opened, he was surprised to see the blue-haired girl standing in front of him.
"Noa! Where have you been? I was looking for you, but you couldn't be found anywhere," So-Rin said, her eyes sparkling.
Noa took a deep breath and replied, "I was on duty." He stepped inside the elevator.
"Really?" So-Rin's eyes narrowed at Noa with a hint of suspicion. "If you were really on duty, your status would still be online in the system, and I would still be able to contact you."
Noa nodded, raising both hands in the air. "Okay, I know I can hide things from you. But there's nothing to worry about. I'm fine now. I'm still alive."
So-Rin's eyes looked glazed, but her voice seemed to choke in her throat. She sighed. "Don't give up," she said in a trembling voice.
Noa nodded and asked, "So, what have you been doing lately?" He pressed the elevator button.
