The German Shepherd

Astrophel was getting into it with his mom about her behavior upon meeting me. I just leaned into him with the arm he kept wrapped around me the entire time. She was so mean about him bringing me, a human into the house. Barely even acknowledge my existence. With each venomous word she said about me without even getting to know me the more I began to hate her. It was only when she started talking bad about Astrophel that I cut in, "You can shit talk me all you want but don't you dare talk bad about your own son like that and threaten his life. No matter how much you hate me, it doesn't give you the right to treat him like that. No mother should ever treat their children like a possession and not a living breathing hum…being. I don't care how much you may think that giving birth to a child gives you the right to treat them however you like. It is wrong of you to stand here and talk to Astrophel like that. Kill me if you want to but I will not stand by and watch this injustice. If you weren't immortal I would threaten to have my father arrest you for the crime you just committed, threatening your own son like that. How could you, his life is worth much more than how much you take it for granted. I may not know you all very well but I will not allow my man here harm by his own wretched mother. Immortal or not, you're not worth the title of mother." She bared her fangs at me and hissed. When she moved to attack me, Astrophel stopped her. He seemed to be much stronger than her. Which was a little befuddling at first. Since in all the Vampire movies and shows I've ever seen. It's normally the older ones that are much stronger than the younger immortals."Don't you dare lay a finger on her.!" He growled out. From the look on his mother's face, I could tell it was probably the first time he's ever openly fought back with her. "You would protect this pathetic little human against your own mother's wishes. I thought I raised you better than this. How dare you attack me like this?!"  He turned and looked back at me to make sure I was okay I guess. Then he said, " I will protect the love of my life no matter what even if it kills me." He ended there as if it was final and then I understood why he looked back at me. He wanted to use the L-word and he wanted to make sure I wasn't gonna freak. That's so cute, wait do I want to be in love, am I? It definitely made my heart flutter when he said it. But I can't. It's hard to let people in but I want to with him.

His mother backed off after he said that moved to stand by his father. She got quiet and didn't say a single word. She appeared to be lost in thought. Astrophel stood next to me again and wrapped his arm back around me. He then began making conversation with his father. Then someone else walked in all obnoxious and with a German shepherd at his side. I just stayed leaning into Astophel as he loudly made his entrance. "Astrophel brother look! I made friends with a real dog. You know unlike you. Shouldn't you two be greeting each other by now? You know sniffing each other's butts." He laughed maniacally "Well if it isn't tiny Alberto, baby brother, your tauntings have never gotten to me and never will. But keep trying it amuses me dearly." He smirked, which made me adore him even more, and then the dog started growling at Astrophel. "What's wrong with your latest pet Albee? He seems kind of feral." Alberto shrugged. "I guess he just doesn't like you, not everyone likes you Astrophel, you gotta accept that. Sheesh so conceited." He laughed. "Oh yeah, bet you I can get him to like me." Alberto seemed to think it over. "You know what, you're on. I'll even be generous and give you two days. That should be long enough right?" Astrophel moved closer to the dog. "You're on. Maybe I'll even win the bet right now. But what happens when I win? How about you admit that I'm the better immortal and you'll never beat me. And if you win I'll do the same. You know but instead of me saying that I am the better one, I'll say that you are. Seems like a fair deal does it not?" He took another two steps towards the dog. It began to back up and growl. It mostly seemed confused. Alberto responded with a "Yes, that seems fair enough." Then held out his hand for a shake. Poor Astrophel didn't realize the trick he just pulled or maybe he did and didn't care. But he shook hands with him. The dog still being still next to his brother, just a little more behind him. So just as he shook Alberto's hand, the dog leaped at him, fangs bared. Astrophel dodged it just in the nick of time. Then the dog ran past him and up to me. It began to pull on my pant legs like it was trying to lead me out of the room. "No, no boy, let go. I'm staying here. Alberto is it? Please tell your dog to let go of my pants." Astrophel looked a little concerned and Alberto called the dog by whistling and saying come here boy but to no avail. He whined and continued to pull. Which just led to my pant leg being ripped and him just moving to the other one trying the same thing. Before realizing it wasn't gonna work and finally releasing my pants. Then returned to Alberto's side. Astrophel came over and asked if I was okay and Alberto left with the dog. I decided it was time for us to go too. So I whispered in Astrophel's ear to take me back to his room.

Jen was in way over her head and had the audacity to ignore me when I tried to play the innocent dog who wanted her to follow. Granted I also tried to attack her new boy toy from what it seems. But the bastard dodged me. I guess maybe they are truly immortals. They mentioned it. I don't particularly believe it but he did move kinda fast. Could just be good reflexes. Doesn't mean anything. I still need a plan to get Jenessa out of here. Maybe this Alberto will prove useful. I'll stick with him for a bit and learn everything I can about him, his parents, and his brother.
