Cheney's face lit up with a smile, trying his best to appear sincere.
"Wasn't it all for Lora? She was in a hurry to leave, and she didn't want the captain to know. As her master, I had no choice but to protect her all the way. As for sending Marcus away, it was also for Lora's sake."
