Chapter VII: Grinding Demon

Kena left the village. He was angry. That made him have two goals in this world.

1. Leave and kill iwao.

2. Eliminate the church.

When he did have that goal a quest had appeared.

[Destroy the church. Quest Reward: Maximum level Demon King + Maximum Level skills achieved + New Evolution]

These rewards were actually amazing. He thought it would be easy with all the enemies he faced but he wouldn't test that. He needed preparation. So he needed 2 things. One being actual combat training. Two being a army of demons. He thought the combat training would be better to do first due to his strength from the wendigo. He needed to look for a way to find demons for part 2 of this grand plan. Then a idea sparked in him. "Maybe the underworld" Kena said, asking the system. "The way to the underworld is only known to demons" Kena soon realized it was the systems way of saying do the tutorial. "You expect me to do a tutorial I don't even know HOW TO DO!" Kena screamed in his mind. A tab appeared right after saying that in his system screen.

"Most annoying, dear system. Most. Annoying." Kena said annoyed. He opened the tab to see a few words.

"Maybe Combat will come easier" Kena said, with his smile. He clicked on combat and he experienced a flood of information. Then stopped leaving a searing pain.

"Ouch! God that hurt!" Kena said.

He had felt weak. It felt like he took 47 bullets in each part of his body. He was falling down slowly until he eventually he hit the floor. Knocked Out from the pain.

"My head…" "It feels horrible" Kena said.

He got up. To his surprise, It was a Edo period town. Not much around. *!*

"Your mental stability changed from last time."

"Mental Stability LV.3"

"So it changed from five to three. All that work was boring and I did it for nothing." Kena sighed. *!*

"Wait. Where is he though?" Kena said. He moved away wondering if he was hiding. He moved faster to avoid conflict from where he was. Then with a unimaginable amount of force and strength, he was punched in his back. If he had bones, they would all be fractured into hundreds of thousands of pieces. Kena turned around and saw nothing. He prepared and tried hardening. *!*

"He's this damned strong! If I wasn't a demon, I would have died!" Kena thought. Then he felt something. He felt like he had to move or it was death. He moved with wing movement to go faster to hear a bang behind him.

Where he left, there was a crater the size of 50 meters.

"WHAT THE HELL!!! He's trying to kill me!"

After being a distance he was in his face. He looked at him with curiosity and annoyance. Kena took a look at him. He looked like a ninja with a headband almost 20 feet long on his forehead with a mist and red eyes where his eyes are exposed. His whole body was covered entirely in black and dark blue cloth besides that.

"I'm really this weak?" With a deep voice.

Kena was confused. He would have used inspect but it wouldn't work anyway. He took this time the master said his words to punch him. When he did he was gone.

"How Am I Suppose To Beat THIS!?!"

Kena contemplated his. He knew he had no chance against him. He'd die instantly. He was even still fatigued from his last attack. He had less stamina and was at 20 health. There was no way to win and even if there was, he didn't know where he was and how to do it.

"Every time he hits me I almost die, then he disappears. There has to be a pattern. Right?" Kena couldn't think until he had a thought.

He stood in place. Waiting for the master to attack. He stood there thinking of this. This was a 50/50 chance or lower. If it didn't work, plan B it was.

The master eventually came and tried hitting Kena at fast speeds. Kena, feeling he should move, moved, Then grabbed the master before he left. Right when he did, the master left, taking Kena with him.

Kena's thought was he was took time to prepare a attack of this much destruction. After a attack, he prepares for the next one, making him defenseless. This was his plan, to beat him when defenseless.

When they made it to where the master left, they were in a forest on top of trees. Kena took this time to hit him. He immediately moved right behind him.

"Did you really think you could hit me once?" The master said.

The master was going to hit him but Kena said "Plan B It is."

He used his demon body to absorb him. The system didn't classify this as a skill so he could use this. In simpler words, He cheated the system.

The master was gone after that. *!*

When he did he got a paper saying "exit", similar to the first time but different because the paper looked different because the paper looked black and polished, the handwriting was cursive, and the letters were golden. Kena eventually left from where he was to where he was before the fight.

Kena was where he was with a flood of information in his head. It eventually finished. He thought about doing the disappearing move the combat master did. He successfully moved away.

"I don't stand a chance against the demon arts master."
