What are these unexpected twist?!

"It doesn't seem to be a problem, just a slight stomach ache, you should be better tomorrow morning."

"T-That's all?"

"Yes, just get some rest."

I stood at the side, watching as she took care of Ruxian. Throughout the whole process, I was just blatantly confused, how was she even able to enter the academy, was all I was thinking about.

"Okay you may go."

"Thank you." Ruxian replied, standing up from the bed, she looked at me, and without utterring anything she pointed at the door.

I already knew what she was trying to say, but right now, I needed to speak with this fraud.

"Sorry, I need to speak with the nurse for a bit, you head out." I replied.

She glared at me for a while, and again, she didn't say anything, she just walked out of the room and slammed the door close.

I sighed as soon as she left,

Now then,

I turned to the nurse,

"What are you doing… Jeane?" I inquired, Jeane on the other hand, stared at me, a small smile on her face before she responded,

"I got hired to act as a substitute for the nurse who fell ill." She replied,

"Got hired?"

"Yes, your mother asked that I take up the position so I could keep an eye on you."

So explained Jeane,

My mother can make decisions? I always thought she was just a badly programmed NPC, but if she's making Jeanne do this, does that mean she's not an NPC?

"Does this bother you, Lord Aether?" She asked,

"Not exactly…"

"So I can stay then?" She smiled,

Sigh!

"Well since you're here, I guess it's cool, just make sure you don't do anything that exposes your connection to Black Haven." I uttered, slowly walking out.

"Of course, and I go by Jennifer here, I would never use the name gifted by Lord Aether for my selfish motive." Jeane responded, her head slightly bowed.

"Good, carry on then".

With that, I stepped out of the infirmary, as soon as I was out, I noticed Ava standing in front of me, but this time she was on her own.

"Ava?" I burtled out.

"Did you follow Ruxian to see the new nurse?" She threw her question.

"I guess so, she said something about having stomach aches after the fight,"

"Oh? I guess it was expected, I did hit her pretty hard." Ava spoke, her eyes looking to the side with her finger on her cheeks.

"She'll be fine, well…bye".

"Wait!"

Before I could walk away, Ava grabbed me by the shirt,

I slowly turned around to look at her, her expression was that of a child trying to ask for something impossible from his mom.

I'd know, I tried it alot.

"W..what is it?" I asked.

"Since I won… the duel… does that mean I can join your group?"

I was stunned.

She did all this just to ask such a stupid question?

Pfft!

Before I knew it, I was laughing out loud, the students who were walking past us in the hallway began to look at me, although I didn't notice immediately.

"D-Don't laugh… I'm serious".

Despite her pleading, I couldn't hold back, for some reason it was just too funny. I didn't ever think she could be both smart and stupid at the same time.

My laughter continued for a while, at least that was until she suddenly placed both her hands beside my face as if blocking me from looking.

"Uhn? What are you doing?" I asked, at this time, I was already too invested in her action to continue laughing.

"N-Nothing… Are you done?" Ava asked me, but her face was definitely flushed.

Feeling suspicious, I looked through her fingers blocking my sight, and I could see a group of female students staring at our position.

Was she blocking them from looking at me? Why though? Wait!… is there something on my face?

I immediately turned to the window, looking at my reflection before I gave out a heavy sigh of relief.

"So I'm in the group?" She asked me again.

"Sure… was the reason you accepted the duel?" I asked, since I've been curious.

"Well…yeah, wasn't it obvious?"

That was her response, while I was staring at her wondering what words I could use next, I felt like she was basically calling me stupid.

"Oh right, I never really got the chance to tell you this… our split up when we were kids was abrupt."

Spoke Ava, her arms in front of her, her gaze solely fixed on me.

"Tell me what?"

"You know, I like a lot of things, I like our school uniform for example,"

She pointed at her uniform,

"I like sword practice too."

She again, pointed out the window towards the arena,

"I even like this school a whole lot, it helped me reach my goal," She pointed up at the roof.

And then slowly, she brought her finger down and pointed it me, her expression serious as she spoke,

"But…none of them compare to how much I like you… don't forget that".

...

"One full bowl please."

I spoke, currently sitting in front of a noodle stand, this is where I come when I want to have a peaceful time.

The noodles here are quite good, I heard they had just opened when I began to attend the academy, so it won't be a stretch to assume my organization has something to do with it.

"Here you go." The man in charge spoke, placing the bowl of noodles in front of me.

"Thanks."

I began eating. In less than five minutes, I was done, placing my money on the counter, I stood up, getting ready to go, but then I felt the urge to ask.

"Hey, Tensu." I called out.

"I told you many times it's Tekisaki."

"Yeah that… What does it mean when a girl says she likes you?" I asked.

The place immediately fell into silence, Takisi looked at me for a while before he spoke,

"Are you for real?" He asked.

"Hmm?"

"Well if a girl did say that to you, I could mean a lot of things… so it's better to ask her directly, I guess".

"Oh I see…. Thanks for the response, Yukimura." I walked away.

"Hey! You didn't even use T this time!!!".

…..

Currently walking in the alleyway, Dafahiel showed herself, sipping out of my shadows, I don't even know how long she had been there.

"Lord Chaos, I have news." She spoke, walking beside me.

"Oh?"

"Lady Jeane says the meeting is currently being held at Rio's Warehouse, your presence is expected."

Reported Dafahiel,

"I guess it's that time… by the way, how long have you been in my shadow".

"...."

"Lord Chaos, I do not trust that girl, Ava one bit, she never misses an opportunity to try and get close to you… I don't find her decent" Spoke Dafahiel.

She'll be the second person hating on Ava, is this woman thing or….

I suddenly stopped.

"Dafahiel, be on your guard." I spoke,

Standing in front of me was a creature in the dark alleyway, purple glowing energy inside its form, but its main body was covered in a red cloak.

It didn't look human nor did it have a human form.

It was more like multiple snakes packed into one figure… a snake monster!.
