Complication with building a nation.

Well, finally I'm free and settling down on my chair, a map in my hands, and a cocoa on the other, let's just say I was in the middle of my research.

Meanwhile, four of my demons were right in front of me, having their breakfasts together, you could instantly mistake them for a happy family.

Seeing as I have already introduced Zakiel [003], a wild cat in my organization, I'll go ahead and introduce the rest of them.

O'niel [004] , a wolf boy, with black fur and gray like hair, his main weapons are fists and a small dagger I forged from the scales of a giant snake I killed once.

Raphael [002], a vampire, with long purple hair and eyes, she's older than me and seems to be the second strongest after Jeanne. Her main magic type is not clear, she seems to be capable of using whatever I teach her, which I must admit is awesome.

Aniel, [005], a dark skinned wolf girl, I think, primary weapon, a long balde, and mostly fights with special grade magic and elementals.

Dafahiel [006], she's more of the stealth of the organization, a ninja with a strong compatibility with shadow magic, even I sometimes fear what she can do, and not because of her skills as a fighter, no, it's more like she rivals Jeanne when it comes to loyalty to the point where it's almost concerning.

The remaining two, Jeanne [001] and Azaryah [007] a beast boy, more of a spider class, he just recently joined, and is currently on a mission with Jeanne to find out the hideout of the organization trading demons in Fiona.

Sigh!

We've been cutting down camps after camps, but neither of them have been storing demons. You'd think they would have been sending assassins after Chaos, but it just seems damn quiet.

"Lord Chaos, do you mind checking this out?" Spoke Raphael from the corner of the room, in her hands a huge book with dozens of designs on the inside.

She is what you'd call the brain of the group.

"Is it something important?" I asked,

"It's about the land we secured in Ragnor."

Hmmm… I guess it wouldn't hurt to listen.

Raphael arrived in front of me and placed the book on her table, her face hitched close to me as she began.

"I thought about helping out with gathering more resources to build our base and I noticed this along the way, we need to claim ownership of the land before we can carry on any projects on it,"

Ehh? I thought it was sovereign land, yeah, you guessed right, I know nothing about stuff like this, but paperworks? What kind of paperworks?.

I spent most my days focusing on my skills as Chaos and knowledge on finances to build my nation, and other helpful things, I have no idea how I missed out on this wisdom.

"Of course, I know my lord already knew this, I just thought I should get your opinion on how we could sign the papers with the Duke of the region… I'm sorry that I couldn't think of any ideas". Rachel continued.

"It would be difficult considering we don't have a seal of approval, and we aren't numbered enough to be considered a nation not to mention a village, we also need recognition from 2 or more kingdoms before we stand a chance of being a nation, there's also the cost of building on the land, roads, buildings, agriculture , public services, which would be around 60000000 zens, that's only an approximation…. "

'Make it stop!'

"Oh sorry, I got carried away, I just felt exciting knowing i have a bit of wisdom about the things you know, Lord Chaos".

Is she blushing?!

"It's okay, the fact you were able to spot it shows you are growing faster than I expected." I spoke, with a grin on my face, despite having no idea of what was going on.

The glowing smile that showed on Raphael's face was bright enough for me to take one more look at the book before I made a serious decision.

"I've actually been thinking about this for a while, but I have a serious mission on my hands, so I can't handle this one, O'niel!" I called out.

"Yes Lord Chaos." He replied.

"I want you to speak with the Duke of Ragnor once I leave the mansion with my dad , get the papers needed for ownership of the land and then bring it back to me, and work with Rachel to figure out the rest".

"A..As you wish!"

Good! No heart feelings O'niel, but I can't afford to waste my time on these, something else needs my full attention.

Suddenly, a purple portal opened in the middle of the room, and out came Jeanne and Azaryah.

"Lord Chaos, we have returned to you." Jeanne spoke, both their heads bowed.

"Did things get rough on your end?" I asked.

"Another failure, we were only able to take down another camp, with no demons being slaved there." She reported to me.

"Ahhh, I guess that was expected, they might be even bigger than we anticipated,"

I stood up,

"But that's about all there is to it, regardless of how big our enemy is, as long as you keep your guard up and conviction strong…"

Baam!

I instantly threw a straight jab at O'niel, and he blocked it with his arm, his face stained from the force of the impact.

"You should be okay holding your own against them." I grinned, adding a bit more power until I broke his defense and my fist connected with his face.

...

I'm out of my temporary headquarter and my Black havens are taking company with themselves as they usually do.

The news that my father's got back got to me, so I had to leave or it could cause a bit of an uproar, see, my father is just a big perfectionist.

Sometimes, I fight the urge to… I'd rather not say,

Anyway moving on, today is the day I get to travel with my father to Richard's house. The purpose of this is probably deeper but the only context I was given is that I'm getting engaged.

"Veronica, I thought I asked you to dress him on the red outfit I bought." Spoke my father, his eyes fixed on my mother.

We are currently in the moving carriage… wait.. Red? He wanted me to wear a red suit? Over my dead Chaos body!

"Relax honey, he looks better in black, don't you think." My mother replied with a smile.

"You are far too soft on him."

Sigh, I really need to hurry up and get to collage so I don't have to deal with this any more.

My gaze, turned towards Jeanne, who was staring at me so warmly with the wind blowing against her air.

She has been staring at me like that ever since we left the mansion.

Oh…

Speaking of which, I wonder how this girl I'm supposed to be engaged to is like, plain Jane, or shy Princess.

Either way, if she proves to be a problem to my mission, I'll have no other choice than to act accordingly.

And then….

We arrived at Richard's mansion, the time finally came.

....

Sorry for the low quality today, I had to do a lot of school work, so I'm very tired, even the darkness couldn't save me.
