Conversation at the Wedding.
After Belwas got knighted by Robert, Rai brought his companion to home, not wanted to see Syrio challenge the king to get knighted too. In their way out Robert told Rai to not attend the weeding with huge men, "Please bring a normal one" Robert said.
A week after Rai arrived in Kingslanding, the wedding day has come. The Tully proposed to go together, while Rai chooses to wear a normal Noble dress, black with some silver in colour, his house sigil can be seen on his right chess, Hoster Tully insist to wear his Valyrian armor.
"Have you talked to your father, it's kind of weird for him wearing armor for this occasion?" Rai asks Edmure.
Edmure sigh then says "I already told him, even I told him he looks like a guard mine not a Lord Paramount. But he said only stupid low people don't recognize Valyrian still." hearing this Rai just smiles and let it go.
Rai brings along Bruce, a knight from a noble house, no other man in his rank more familiar with this kind of event. At the ceremony Hoster holds Rai tightly, so he cannot wonder around and meet some interesting player of the game. He cannot run especially because he has to act weak.
Later in the feast Rai successfully slip out of Tully grips. He walks with a cane on his left hand, while Bruce walks on his left side. Bruce wears his armors with cape, but no helmets.
The first one they meet is a Paramount Lord, only ruler of Dorne and Iron Islands can't be seen in this wedding, for Dorne is understandable their Lord paramount's sister just got killed here by Lannister. For iron islands is just a plain stupid rebellion.
Rai gives a slight bow to the old lion "I am honor to have this chance Lord Lannister; I am Raizel Hoare."
"Call me Tywin, young lord" Tywin smiles and stares to Rai eyes, his eyes stare downward. This Lord quite tall, around 6.3 ft, while Raizel body is a little below 6 ft, well Raizel Whent was a teen, Rai himself as 7 years old kid already reaches 5 ft.
"First I would like to congratulate for this wedding of your daughter Lord Tywin, she is sure so gorgeous and glamourous, fits as a queen of seven kingdoms." Rai speaks.
"Tell me Lord Raizel, can you sell one of your Valyrian armor to my house, I can give a good prize, although I hear gossips that you produce more gold than Tyrell produce their crops, additional wealth never hurt." Tywin proposed.
Rai shakes his head " I am really sorry my Lord, the one I gave to Tully is my last and only armor left, I only surrendered it as I do not want to have a bloodbath in my new home."
"I do want to have good relationship with your house my lord, I am much willing to suggest a wide range cooperation between my humble house and Lannister." Rai speaks.
Seeing Tywin much in passive act this day, Rai continues "I can not tell you the detail of proposal and more than that it is not suitable time, I will send my men to discuss as I am myself not really understand this affair my lord." After more complimentary talks they walks separately from each other.
Rai continues to speak with a lot of other nobles, he finds head of alchemist and offer him to move to his land, promises ten times budget from what they have now.
"Lady Tyrell, nice to meet you, although my mine purpose coming to kingslanding is to attend this wedding, but what I want the most is to meet you." Rai gives the old Lady a bow.
"Ah, the young lord, the survivor, true testimony of from zero to hero. Tell me Lord Hoare what, you wanted from me? as I am myself currently not really happy, seeing grapes in yours house sigil, makes me remember the failure of my ancestor guarding our home, Arbor."
From Hoare's banner you could knew they held not only Arbor of Redwynn, in their prime, but also Oldtown. Grapes for Arbor, and Raven symbolizes Maester of Oldtown.
"I am sorry for your anger upon my ancestor after seeing my sigil, but I can't say sorry for all their accomplishment. They fought with all their best; I must honor those. But allow me to pay any inconvenience you get from this meeting. Rai speaks.
Olenna Tyrell stare Rai for a moment than smile "Come Lord Raizel, accompany this old lady to walk, I walk really slow, I am sure you can afford following me."
Hoster, Jon, Tywin even Robert notted what happen, as Olenna shows what they have known as her face when she finds something to be fond of. Rai and Olenna Tyrell walks and chat for a long time but none about business, so Rai propose to have dinner in his house later.
"I will see you later Rai, as an elder I have an advice for you, knowing a lot of people is good, having more link and relationship is better, but in some games it is not a smart move. I've known a great number of clever men. I've outlived them all. You know how? I ignored them." The old Lady then continue walking, while Rai stays.
Later Rai walks toward Jon Arryn, as soon Jon Arryn see Rai, Rai nods to Jon. The King's hand soon walks to near of Robert and whisper him something.
Robert stands up "Greeting all lords and ladies, in this special moment for me I thank you for all of your time and of course your gift."
Soon, a courtier starts read all the audience that present one by one, alongside each of their present.
"Lord Raizel Hoare my queen and I sincerely thank you for all the gift, especially the beautiful ships, your Queen cannot stop telling me how she loves it." Robert comments after the courtier announce all Rai wedding gifts. Beside him Rai can sees Cersei smiles to him, in which Rai bows slightly to her.
Robert continues after cheers and applauses are done "Lord Raizel was in bad predicament when his traveled to attend this wedding, so he started to prepare for the worst. Lord Raizel asks me to legitimize his Son with a woman of Essos. Till know house Hoare always show me a good will of what a vassal should be. So, by here I Robert Baratheon first of my name announce, Rai Rivers son of Raizel Hoare, as Rai Hoare, and he is a legal heir to Harrenhal castle and all Hoare's property and wealth."
Back at home Rai discuss with Davos, they talk what relationship they should build with Lannister, Rai wants Davos to meet the Lannister in hope for current time they can build a mutual connection, which Tywin and him will gain benefit.
"My lord a man name Petyr Baelish wants to meet you, he just arrives and wait outside." a guard come to his solar and reports.
Rai nods "Inform him I am waiting for him here, if he brings any guards, entertain them outside." Soon the guards leave the room.
"Do you know him Davos?" Rai asks.
The one to answer is Bronn "He is the owner of some finest brothel my lord, I brought some brothers to his establishment another day." Bruce frowns hearing this, Belwas protests why Bronn did not call him to come along.
"He is a noble from Vale my lord, a new noble house, the founder origin is from Essos." Davos explains.
Syrio cut him "Ah, his father or grandfather should be from Bravos, I heard a story about a sellswords of Bravos become noble of westeros."
"We should be cautious with this man my lord, he is an ambitious type, he even fostered in Riverrun, from nothing to lived with Tully, a lord paramount. Its talks a lot about his traits." Davos finishes.
A short man of slender build comes inside the solar, Petyr wears a mockingbird as his personal crest. He walks towards Rai, then stops in front of Rai's table. Seeing this all brute man leave the room, Davos stay in his chair, while Bruce moves to Rai's right side, and stand there.
"An honor my lord, thank you for your kind welcome for my unannounce visit" Petyr bows unnormally deep for greeting.
"Find your self a comfortable chair Lord Baelish" Rai smiles.
"This man is ser Bruce Wayne, my guard commander, the one sitting is my advisor, Davos Hoare." Hearing this Davos wants to charge and hugs his lord, he is so happy, although it is not a legitimate name. Petyr nods to both of them
"Although your arrival not disturbing my night, it is quite unexpected, please be a dear Lord Baelish and talk to the point, we know we both are men with purpose." Rai opens their discussion.
"Pleas call me Petyr my lord" the Brothel owner smile.
First he explains that he wants his permission to build a brothel in Rai's new city, and second most important one, he need Rai support to be elected as part of King small council.
