As Foster took a second or two to take a breath after receiving the boss monster's attack head-on, Octer took advantage of the gap created in the boss' defence immediately after its rage-filled attack. He charged forward and, with his whole weight behind it, slammed his tower shield into the boss' body. Through the shield, a wave of internal energy was pushed forward. Different to how Foster used his internal energy, this wasn't to increase damage, but rather the sheer force behind it. And it seemed to work, as the boss' body was thrown off-balance, as its large frame nearly toppled over. But before it could, roots extended from the bottom of its feet and practically glued it to the ground.
However, this was enough time to create an opportunity. Lynol, who had made quick work of the wooden eagle, swung his sword at the stunned boss' body. As though he was chopping firewood, he pushed down the blade, managing to split the boss' body clean in half. Far too easily.
