5: Zeus

{Unknown Planet}

(Jennifer's POV)

She couldn't believe it… Zeus was REAL? He almost killed her, but he was real?! She didn't feel bad about the things she'd said earlier, or telling the stories about him. Zeus was a massive horndog. Or horngod if she was going to be quite honest. But still, to see him here in front of her… If she wasn't quite the nerd, she definitely would have shit her pants. However, Zeus' appearance only seemed to anger "Dorion".

"What are you doing here, you foul adversary?" He shouted at Zeus, keeping her hidden behind him as he shifted to face the man as he came down off his own chariot laden in gold and white, depictions of lightning bolts glittering in the light.

"I have come to see those which have destroyed my temple, and have walked through my portal. Would you really not think that I would find out… Dorion? My son has always been terrible about keeping his exploits quiet."

She blinked as she listened to his remarkable english. She listened, pressing a little more against "Dorion". The one thought she did have, however, was the fact that Zeus used to do the same thing. Seeing as how she's met him for the first time in her entire life… She was pretty sure he hadn't changed since his time on Earth.

"Like father like son."

And that just proved it.

"Tell me, where is my son? Off on another boring adventure to destroy something of mine, or off on a supposed date with Aphrodite?"

"How should I know? I've not heard from him in weeks."

Zeus apparently didn't like that answer. "Enough with these foolish games! You will answer me directly before I burn your little pet project down to the ground! Bring me the ones who have traveled through my gate and speak to me like the man you are!"

"Dorion" only growled. "I will not have you talk to me in such fashion! There is a reason I destroyed your temple! I should be the one with the temple here!"

His words caught her off guard. He's the one who destroyed the temple? He's claiming he should have a temple instead? What was going on here? With her hands gently moving against his sides, she poked her head around to view Zeus, whose face was turning red with anger.

He had a closely trimmed beard, though most depictions had him bearing a full, large beard with a matching mustache. His hair was curled and came to the top of his shoulders. All the hair on his face and head was completely white, which wasn't much of a surprise to her. With gold arm bracers, and intricately woven golden sandals, with all the muscles to boot, she'd say she liked older men. Much. Much. MUCH. Older men. However, Zeus didn't seem to be in that playful of a mood. She noticed a scar over his right brow, which then made her notice his glowing yellow eyes. There were no pupils, no irises. It was all just yellow. And glowing.

She watched his hand raise and point right at "Dorion". What came from his hand was like the bolt of lightning in the mythology that Zeus would use to fight his adversaries. However, instead of aiming right at "Dorion's" chest, it went right to his helmet, knocking it clear off his head as if it was being held there by a piece of string.

Stepping back, she saw long flowing black locks of hair coming from his head. She blinked as she looked at him, looking a little confused. Even as "Dorion" looked back at her for a moment, showing dark brown eyes, he looked back at Zeus and let out a growl. Pulling out his weapon once more, he pointed it at Zeus.

"Try that again, old man. I dare you."

Zeus only seemed to smirk from that comment before his other hand reached out. Suddenly, she gasped as she felt sparks jumping around her midsection. Then, before she knew it, she was pressed to Zeus' side, looking up at the brute of a man.

"Hiding a delicate flower, are we? How shameful, son."

With all the force she could muster, she pushed away from Zeus.

"Not like you can say much, Zeus." She spoke to the easily seven foot tall man. "I know of your track record and I'm not interested."

Zeus quirked a brow at her comments, then looked to "Dorion". "You've picked quite the feisty mate. Whatever happened to Aphrodite? I thought your affair was straight on."

"Dorion" growled and reached for her, only to have his hand slapped away. "You can drop the Dorion act too, Ares. You may have had me fooled for the first few minutes, but your conversation with daddy over there saw straight through you. And I'd rather not get into a mess with Aphrodite. I know what happens then. Even more so when Hera gets involved." She shook her head and walked over to her two companions. Well… One companion and one she was seriously considering as a wild animal.

What she wasn't expecting was for Ares to straight out attack his father with a battle roar leaving his lips. The sky darkened as their weapons clashed against one another. She ducked and looked back, her eyes squinting as she watched the two in a seemingly elegant battle. "C'mon Jenkins. We need to get out of here while they're distracted."

Good thing he didn't argue with her. Both grabbed an arm of Quinten's and started to drag him away. She didn't even need to say anything to Jenkins when they got to the dial home device. As he put in the gate code, she looked over to see lightning crash where they'd been. She took a breath, frowned, and looked to Jenkins. He could see the look in her eyes as he wrote down the symbols with a sigh. He handed her the piece of paper and handed it over.

"If you're not back in twenty minutes, I'm sending reinforcements to come and get you."

She nodded and hurried her chubby ass back to the fighting family.

(Ares' POV)

With another clash of his xiphos against his father's Thunderbolt, he growled. "Why is it that you show up at the worst of times? I could have had her and left Aphrodite alone!"

Zeus shoved hard with his Thunderbolt, sending Ares stumbling back. "My son, you must learn to control your anger. And why stop loving Aphrodite now? Everyone knows about your affair with her."

He roared out again, thrusting his xiphos towards his father, who had managed to hook part of the shortsword against a ridge of the thunderbolt. "Coming from a man who can't keep his damn dick under his clothes!"

That angered Zeus enough to where he swung a fist straight at Ares' face. With them both being in such close proximity to each other, the fist actually connected with Ares' cheek and the side of his nose. With an extra charge of electricity, it sent shocks all through Ares' system and made him stumble backwards. Blood slowly started to drip from his nose, but that only gained a more sinister smile from Ares.

Zeus only frowned. "You should have been knocked further back than that."

He smirked, wiping the blood from his nose. "You're lacking in your hand-to-hand combat, father dearest. All that time throwing bolts, you'd think you'd have the upper arm strength!" Charging forth, his xiphos narrowly missed Zeus' shoulder, but that didn't stop the rampage of the God of War.

His upper body twisted, slamming his elbow into his father's ribcage. The blow caused a snap toe be heard, and for Zeus to let out a grunt. His fist then worked with the momentum and brought it up, slamming into his father's shoulder. However, that got nothing from Zeus. The thunderbolt shifted hands, a quick jab was delivered as the tip buried itself in the chink of Ares' armor, digging into his flesh.

With a roar, Ares pulled away and tried to swipe his leg against his father's, wanting to knock him off balance. But, as Zeus had come to learn, his son's anger was causing a blinding rage, one that put him at a disadvantage.

Stabbing his thunderbolt into the ground in a sleek swiftness, Ares' foot, the blow intended to knock his father down, connected with the flat side of the thunderbolt. What came of that was a huge electrical shock, a growl of pain, and sparks littering his skin. Before he could do anything else, even in his raging anger, he managed to see someone dressed in white rushing towards them.

"Alright! That's enough!"

"You have no say here, mortal woman."

Ares growled before roaring, taking his father's thunderbolt and subsequently stabbing it into his father's foot after having twisted it around. Zeus let out his own roar before pulling his weapon from his foot.

"You've no right to speak to her like that!"

"And you don't own me!"

Just as Ares turned towards her, he felt something heavy, metallic, and cold smack right against his temple. Darkness filled the corners of his eyes as he felt the planet give way underneath him. Just as he hit the dirt, he saw her swing right at Zeus.

(Open POV)

Jennifer's swing to Ares had put him down for the count. She didn't know she had enough strength to deal that sort of damage, but both she and Zeus watched as Ares took a nap on the ground.

"You've got quite the swing there… Quite the temptress, if I do say so-"

Jennifer had enough of Zeus' comment, swinging the blunt metal object right at the old man. However, he thought he was going to be smacked in the head as well. He was completely surprised as cold, hard metal connected to his delicate package tucked between his legs. The crushing of this area made him freeze, the air knocked right out of his lungs. His eyes widened as his knees suddenly collapsed inward. He looked like a busty, transgendered bearded lady trying to act like a school girl. A whimper escaped his lips as he finally fell to his knees.

"Keep saying things like that and next time I'll use your own damn weapon to cook me some eggs and a sausage!"

Jennifer didn't realize quite how much she had of her own anger, but that seemed to do the trick of keeping Zeus' brain on track of not messing with her. She watched him nod, whimper, and faceplant right into the ground as well. With a quick huff, Jennifer marched over to Ares' carriage, looking to all the horses on the carriage. "I'm sorry I hurt your master." She apologized to them, leading them to Ares.

With some grunts, she somehow managed to get Ares into his carriage. Then, with a snap of the reins, the chariot took off, soaring upwards into the sky. When it looked like Ares was going to fall out, the horses seemed to move and get him back into the chariot.

"Smart horses." Jennifer murmured.

She then turned to help Zeus, only to see that he was gone already. She hadn't even heard him move! On that note, she rushed back to the Stargate. She wasn't quite sure what all had happened, as she needed to process this, but she did know one thing:

Shit was going to go down.
