Star Wars VRMMO

First and foremost: Yes. I drew the cover myself in Microsoft Paint. It is a masterpiece. You're welcome. This is my second work. I thought I'd give a shot at one of those game novels. I've always had a dream of there being a video game where it was kinda like a combination of an MMO and GTA but with Star Wars themes. You'd be able to travel the whole galaxy and have progression that relates to the story. I think it'd be quite interesting. Essentially, I am going to be creating a universe so this is going to be a really fun experience for me. There is gonna be no bullshit with reincarnation. Just pure exploration and luck. I might experiment with different POVs throughout the work but who knows. Lastly, sorry if I make mistakes with the math. I am going to try and keep it as simple as possible. Here is a preview: The year is 2086. The VRMMO market has been taking off in the last 20 years. Each title is more advanced than the previous. Finally, an unknown entrepreneur is creating a game that introduces an AI that fully manages the game independently. This unknown investor has partnered with Disney to create this game within the story of Star Wars. Tyler Sandberg is a 17 year old boy living in New York, USA. He lost his father in a space exploration accident and he has been living with his mother since that happened. Unfortunately, the two have been struggling financially ever since his father passed so they live a modest lifestyle. Since his father was an astronaut, he was always super into sci-fi content. Star Wars was his favorite. After finding out that there was a mysterious VRMMO Star Wars game coming out, he swore that he would make it big in the game and get him and his mom the lifestyle they deserve. DISCLAIMER: All characters, companies, and events in this novel --even those based on real world entities-- are entirely fictional. All representations are made up ... poorly. This novel contains coarse language and due to its content it should not be read by anyone.

Battle of Radnor Part II

(This completes the previous chapter.)

Tyler and Kai were hiding in a bush about 10 meters from the wall. They were waiting for the signal to infiltrate the base.

Suddenly, an explosion rang through the air, followed by a few more explosions.

Tyler chuckled. "Well, that's our cue. Let's move."

They walked up to the wall and jumped up to the top. There were two guards on top of the walls in the form of B1 battle droids with binoculars. They were currently looking towards the battle that was taking place at the front gate. Due to their lack of awareness, the two jedi quickly cut them down.

Tyler turned to Kai while pointing towards a tower. "That is the control tower. Let's go right through the front door. The faster we can get the gates open, the faster we can take this base."

Kai nodded. "Okay, master. Let's move."

As they were running, Tyler whispered to Kai. "You know, you don't have to call me master anymore. You aren't my student anymore after all."

Kai shrugged. "Old habits die hard. I only became a knight a few days ago. I still have much to learn, though."

Tyler nodded as they reached the entrance to the control tower. "Indeed."

Suddenly, Tyler's comm lit up. "DRACO, WE NEED HELP OVER HERE!"

Tyler sighed. "Calm down, what happened?"

The clone captain scoffed audibly. "The General is injured. He was hurt by a Sith. There were also two more Sith cutting down our troops. We need assistance immediately!"

Tyler sighed. "Very well, we are on our way. Over and out."

He turned to Kai while tossing him a bag of thermal detonators. "Let's blow these guns and get out there. Everything is going to shit."

Kai nodded and ran off before replying. After about a minute, Kai had planted the detonators on all of the AA guns and Tyler had put high explosives on the command tower. They wouldn't be able to take the base but they would at least be able to blow it to hell.

As they made their way towards the front gate, they encountered a horde of droids. Conveniently, there was a tank between them and the droids.

Tyler looked at the tank while speaking. "I will take the tank. You open the gate."

Kai rolled his eyes. "Always hogging the fun stuff, eh?"

Tyler chuckled. "I'm sorry but the controls are definitely not designed for children."

Kai almost choked. "You… fine. I hate you with every ounce of my being."

Tyler laughed. "Careful, young one. Hate is a dangerous emotion."

Kai rolled his eyes as he walked towards the gate. "Shut… up!"

Tyler sighed and mumbled to himself. "I mean, the controls ARE sized for a man, not… whatever he is."

Tyler slowly inched towards the tank. Stupidly, it was not covered from the back so it was quite easy. Once he reached the back, he looked up. There was a command droid peeking out of the top.

Igniting his lightsabers would be too loud so he would have to use his hands. With this strength stat, he was confident he could rip the head off of the droid.

He jumped up, soaring over the top of the tank. He landed right on the droid. As he landed, he pulled the hatch closed with the force. He quickly dismantled the two droids. He then took out and used his tactical knife made from beskar to ensure that the droids would not power back on.

Tyler then sat down at the controls. "Hmmm, I think I got this." He grasped the steering wheel and used the targeting stick to aim the cannon. He pointed it at the other tank that was on the other side.

Tyler scrunched his brow. "Hmmm, where was the ammunition stored again? OH! Here!"

He haphazardly aimed at the lower chassis and let an armor piercing round rip. A spectacular explosion was set off. The barrel of the tank launched off and crushed a crowd of droids. Unfortunately, all of the players dodged.

Tyler grumbled. "Why do they have so many players? Such a pain in the ass. I thought that there were a ton more players with the Republic. I'm gonna look into this when I get back. This is ridiculous."

He then pressed the triggers on the back side of the steering wheel. The heavy blasters started firing. He single handedly demolished half of the troops stationed at the gate. As he was doing this, the front gate slid open. Kai had completed his part.

Seeing this, Tyler sped the tank out of the base. It would be quite inconvenient if he were to be stuck there. As he went through the gate, Kai hopped on and sat on the side of the tank. He deflected blaster fire with his lightsaber.

Once they were out of the gate, they saw the horrid scene. One of two things must have happened. Either Master Tholme was an utterly incompetent leader, or they were completely outmatched in terms of firepower.

The bodies of clones and scattered droid parts were laying all over the place. There were the remains of tanks all over the place and the wreckage belonged to a lot more republic hardware than separatist.

As soon as they approached the battlefield, the separatist fire turned onto them. Suddenly, 3 blips popped up on the scanners. A bombing run demolished the CIS backline. Unfortunately, it was too little, too late.

The Republic had already lost this battle. There were no reinforcements coming, and all the troops they had were in a full retreat. The only bright side of this was that now, the two Jedi had a path to meet up with the remaining clones and Master Tholme.

Tyler sped the tank through the clearing. The last thing they wanted was to be sandwiched between the CIS forces. The battle quickly came into view. Red and blue blaster bolts flew through the air. Some stray Republic fire had to be deflected by Kai to avoid getting hit.

As they moved closer, more details of the absolute stomping came into view. It was an endless cycle of clones running, the farthest back ones stopping to buy their comrades time, and then those clones being gunned down with blasters or cut down by the two sith.

Tyler opened fire, shooting everything the tank had. Scores of droids were demolished by the cannon and heavy blasters. It did not take long for the enemy to turn their focus on them. The two Sith ran at the tank, easily dodging the weapon fire.

Tyler opened the top hatch. "Kai, go find Master Tholme. He is injured so treat him so he can fight the assassin. I will handle these two shitstains."

Kai nodded and ran to the right of the two Sith. One of them jumped at him with her lightsaber ignited.

Tyler rolled his eyes. He used the force to empower his body and jumped to intercept the enemy. In the most dramatic entrance possible, he used the lightsaber in his right hand to block the Sith's strike while he pointed the saber in his left hand at the other enemy.

He smirked in delight. "Oh no you don't. I will be your opponent today."

*Hidden Continuous Quest Triggered: Bringing Balance

*Reward: +1 Level, +1000 Jedi/Sith Order Reputation.*

Tyler grinned seeing this quest. It would seem that it was triggered by him engaging in combat with Sith operatives after the start of the Clone Wars. He felt confident that he could handle these two players.

*Mesto, 25 years, Sith Acolyte*

*Level 71*

*Unknown*

*Qiyana, 22 years, Sith Acolyte*

*Level 75*

*Unknown*

The two sith grimaced. As they looked at his monstrous status. Tyler's information was on display for everyone to see. Unlike many players, he was quite infamous throughout the galaxy so everyone knew where he was from.

*Draco, 21 years, Jedi Master*

*Level 83*

*Mandalorian Human*

Qiyana scoffed. "Of course, this fucker just had to be here. The only people this is bad for is us. He is no match for Master Ventress after all."

Tyler sighed. "Why does that cancer patient have to be here?"

Mesto nearly choked. "I mean, you're not wrong."

Tyler rolled his eyes. "She would kill you 10 times over if she heard you say that. Too bad she's busy kicking Master Tholmes ass."

Mesto sighed as he scratched the back of his head. "Well lucky me, she will never get to hear you tell on me."

The acolyte launched himself towards Tyler in a wreckless, all out attack.

Tyler rolled his eyes. "How typical of a Sith." He used the saber in his left hand to parry the strike. Their strength stats were on totally different levels so he nearly lost his lightsaber. WIthout hesitation, he used his other saber to skewer the acolyte. "Thank you for the level."

*Level up! You are now Level 84 and have 5 free attribute points.*

Qiyana shrugged. "He has always been an idiot. I've always been the stronger of the two of us. Even so, I'm sure that we can talk about this. I doubt a Jedi Master being defeated could bode well for you."

Tyler raised his brow. "Do all Sith travel in 2 man cells?"

Qiyana nodded hoping to appease the strongest player in the galaxy. "Us players are put in teams of two and then we often will carry out missions under a higher ranking Sith."

Tyler sighed. "There must be a lot of Sith NPCs then."

She nodded again. "More than any of us expected."

Tyler nodded. "I see. I have one more question. Why does it seem that there are so many more players allied with the CIS?"

Qiyana scoffed. "You don't even know that? Geez, and I thought you knew everything important. A majority of players swapped over to the separatists after the Raxus Address. We all know how the war ends so we want to be on top of it. It won't be long before your reign ends."

Tyler shrugged. "Think what you want. Well, I'm too lazy to kill you and I have a lot to think about. Tell the droids to stand down and I will let you go free. I doubt you want to lose a level like your idiot friend. They are not easy to gain. So, get on with it and then get lost." He shooed her away with a wave of his hand.

Qiyana didn't hesitate and ran away. "I will return this favor someday. Thank you."

Tyler lacsidaically strolled through the retreating droids. He would have most definitely been slain if he didn't strike a deal with Qiyana. No Jedi can handle that much blaster fire. Fortunately, selfishness got the better of the Sith.

A few minutes later, he found Kai kneeling next to a body that was covered by a sheet. The small green jedi was praying.

Tyler sighed. "Kai, who is that?"

Kai shook his head. "It is Master Tholme. He passed away from complications due to his injuries. I am honestly surprised he lasted that long from a lightsaber going through his stomach."

Tyler scoffed. "Fuckin Ventress."

Kai raised his brow. "Is that what that lesbian is called?"

Tyler choked. "Good one dude."
