Chapter 54 You wanted to speak with me.

The two weeks passed quickly for Tommy and his crew.

Their two new additions were doing great;Simon took the young mercenary under his wing and trained with him daily and Alice tried to convince the new nurse to go to medical school as she had a talent for medicine.

They were getting close to the Drako system which was the headquarters of the Dragon star team.

Tommy was getting a little impatient to see his sister,everyone and everything was ready to get her aboard.

When they entered the system they saw a dozen of noble cruisers and even an imperial dreadnought parked in orbit among the mercenary ships.

Tommy had a bad feeling about it but this whole system was a no violence zone and anyone who violated this rule became the enemy of the Dragon star team.

-What are your orders, captain?

Simon asked.

-Just like I told you,in this system there are rules and if you violate them then you die.

We go according to the plan: go down there, get my sister back,talk to my boss and then we leave.

We will bring our weapons and armor but we don't open fire until someone fires upon us,the same for the ship.

Paul you take the con,if some idiot puts a target lock on the ship then raise the shields but nothing more.

-Yes sir.

-Contact me if there are any troubles.

After giving some more instructions he went into the hangar bay where two shuttles were ready to launch.

One was for him, Simon and the rookie,while the other one was a medical shuttle with Agnes,Alice and some of her staff.

-This is the Death dragon requesting permission to get two birds down to the planet.

Tommy contacted the orbital command.

-This is orbital command Death dragon you are clear to proceed, welcome home.

-Thank you orbital command. It's good to be back.

After receiving clearance he went to the main landing pad while the medical shuttle went to the pad near the hospital.

They landed without any problems thanks to many hours of flight training that Tommy did whenever he could.

The ramp went down and three men in power armor went down to the landing pad.

All three were armed but their weapons rested on the magnetic straps placed on the back of the armor and its leg plates.

Daniel, who was waiting for them, was impressed by an armor he didn't see before.

-Welcome back.

He greeted while shaking Tommys hand.

-It's good to be back.

Tommy said letting go of his hand and getting a big hug from Jenny who also waited for them.

After the introductions Tommy followed Daniel and Jenny went to the hospital where Alice was waiting for her.

-Mind telling me why there is a small fleet of nobel cruisers and an imperial dreadnought in orbit?

Tommy asked.

-It was a personal favor from the emperor so I couldn't just say no.

Hearing this Tommy and his friends went pale.

Seeing their reaction Daniel immediately started to calm them down.

-They only want to talk and you know the rules, no violence.

-Daniel if this is some trick or anything happens to Helen i'm going to kill you myself.

 Tommy said in a voice cold like death itself.

Daniel knew that it wasn't an empty threat.

-Nothing is going to happen and you're no longer exiled. The emperor pardoned you all three weeks ago.

-So what the hell is this? another attempt at the negotiations?

-Some thing like that and like I said it was a personal request from the emperor so there was no way for me to refuse.

Daniel tried to explain himself.

-Just listen to what they have to say and that's it. They wanted to meet you somewhere neutral and in a place that will stop all parties from killing each other so the emperor chose this system where there are rules to prevent that.

Tommy took a deep breath.

-I will go and listen to what they have to say and then I'm out of here.

-I won't ask you for anything else.

Tommy did not listen anymore he put on his helmet and called Alice.

-We might have some trouble so use the new toy that Jess made for this occasion.

-As you wish,we will be ready to lift off in about half an hour.

She answered.

-Then get to the ship when you're ready, don't wait for us.

-Care to tell me why ?

-Because I have an unscheduled audience with the emperor and I think that this will take a while.

-Then see you at the ship.

-Yes see you at the ship.

He took off the helmet again.

-What was that all about?

-Just some precautions in case that someone wants to do something stupid.

Now let's get this over with.

Daniel brought them to the chamber with a big round table in the middle .

Surrounding the table were people sitting on the comfortable and elegant chairs.

and one person who was sitting on the throne

Tommy recognised them the second he looked at them.

All the heads of noble families and the emperor were present and everyone of them had four guards except for his majesty who had 10 guards.

Then he looked at the Henderson family and he barely was able to stop himself from starting a massacre.

Some of them he met Like Arnold and Eric but the women he knew only from the pictures he found on the meganet.

He took another deep breath to calm himself and followed Daniel to take his seat.

Tommy noticed that he was on the opposite side from the emperor and the Henderson family

Every ounce of his being screamed for revenge but he promised Daniel that he would listen to what they had to say.

He put his helmet on the table and handed his rifle over to Simon before he took his seat.

The nobles from other families and even the emperor looked at him and couldn't believe that this man was the source of this mess.

After a moment of silence Tommy finally spoke.

-You wanted to speak with me and I promised Daniel that I will listen to what you have to say.
