The Ritual
Watching the candidates entering the gate, he floated down and settled on the platform's edge.
"Good day, Lord Seeker. How are you feeling?" greeted Jessica, Kalsie's mother, and Chloe, as they approached him.
"I'm good, but it's not usual to see you both here," he smiled, curiosity in his eyes.
"My son is participating in the awakening ritual today," Jessica explained.
"So, Rob has already left behind a successor. Now things will get interesting," he chuckled mysteriously and turned to Chloe.
"It was my younger brother who came to awaken," she replied.
"Your little brother? Hmmm. Let's see how long they both take to awaken," he said, amusement evident in his tone.
Though Jessica and Chloe wore slightly tense expressions, wondering about Kalsie and Fred's potential, the three continued their conversation.
