Quadruplets

"Ouch!" Alice screamed.

She quickly checked if she still had any clothes on her.

Awaken by her noise, Daniel rubbed his temple and asked, "What's wrong?"

"What have you done! We agreed last night that you shouldn't cross the middle line of the bed!" Alice gripped the corner of the quilt and stared at him, seeming exasperated.

"I didn't!" Daniel looked back at her innocently, "You are the one that crossed it!"

Only then did Alice realize she was wrong. As she literally clung to Daniel herself.

Embarrassed, Alice tried to explain, "I fell asleep last night. I didn't do that on purpose."

"Don't worry about it." Daniel gave her an out.

Having finished his words, Daniel wormed his way back into the quilt, "I couldn't sleep last night because of you."

"Why couldn't you?" Words slipped out of Alice's mouth before she even realized it.
