Clifford stood still in his tracks. What did his mother just say?
“Attacks by vampires?” he asked with an incredulous look in his eyes.
“What? Isn’t it the truth?” Claudia asked with a confused look on her face. “I must say that it sounded really disturbing. Is she having nightmares or seeing ghosts?” she asked with a serious look in her eyes.
“She isn’t being attacked by vampires, Mom. She would have been dead if she was or turned into a vampire herself,” Clifford responded. “Who is spreading such vicious lies?” he asked with an irritated look in his eyes.
“Oh, don’t worry if it’s not the truth. It seems as if Kiara and her aunt don’t have all the facts. Anyway, when you’re a famous filmmaker you are going to face a lot of gossip like this,” Claudia remarked with a calm expression on her face now.
