Chapter 39: Swimming Pool Surprise

Clifford saw the look on Marielle’s face. It seemed as if she expected trouble. She didn’t know that Bruce was intense about his work, but at the same time, he was extremely sensitive and kind-hearted.

“I will have to update her about who Bruce really is, Clifford told himself.

“How good are you girls at dancing?” Bruce asked looking from Kerry to Marielle. I understand that you all dance isn’t that so?” he asked.

“I’m a musician, not a dancer,” Kerry responded immediately.

“Oh and I can see that you’re proud about what you do,” Bruce declared with a glittering smile. “But, music goes along with dancing, isn’t that so?” he asked with a charming smile on his lips.

“Does Bruce actually mean what he’s saying or is he just trying to make Kerry feel good about herself?” Clifford wondered.

“Marielle is a lead dancer in a current production and Clifford is the male lead,” Graham declared.

“Oh, so they’re modest,” Bruce remarked with a pensive look in his eyes.
