Chapter 35: Fun at Church
"I suppose that all we can do is wait and see whether she’s genuinely interested in helping you or not,” Ethel replied to Marielle’s question.
She turned in at the Church gates and searched for a parking spot.
“We’ll have to be careful about her and Kiara,” Marielle responded. “Actually, we could ask Francie’s aunt for help with our Prom dresses. Then we don’t have to count on Kiara’s people for everything,” she added when they were finally parked in a good spot, not too far from the gate.
“Yes, but we can’t openly avoid Kiara because that will make her suspicious. And maybe she’s just going through a phase,” Ethel responded while getting out of the car.
