Chapter 11: Discovering Kiara's Jealousy
Some neighborhood dogs ran to the gates of their homes and began to bark when they heard Marielle’s loud voice. She could not hear what Francie was saying anymore.
“Oh, these dogs in my street are barking now,” she said loudly into the cell phone. “I will see you at the dance studio then,” she added, before ending the call on her side. She then walked to the bus stop at a brisk pace.
“Can it be true that Kiara is jealous of my main dance piece?” Marielle asked herself as she stood waiting for the bus. “Then why is she being her usual self? She seems friendly and helpful.
Anyway, whatever,” Marielle concluded with a shrug when the bus drew up in front of her. She did not want to dwell on any negative speculations just before dance class.
