Chapter 10: Unknown Facts Revealed

“Uhm…I know something about your aunt being psychic or something like that,” Marielle responded to Kiara’s question. She raised an eyebrow and looked at her friend quizzically.

“You never take notice when a person’s talking,” Kiara sighed.

“Well, am I right?” Marielle asked in a more urgent tone.

Kiara leaned forward and whispered into Marielle’s ear: “She can foresee the future.”

“But, that’s fortune telling then?” Marielle murmured in response. She looked at Kiara with a concerned frown between her wing-shaped, dark brows.

“Yes, of course,” Kiara whispered in response.

“Doesn’t that involve witchcraft as well?” Marielle asked with the same look of concern in her eyes.

“No, it doesn’t have to,” Kiara responded quickly. “My aunt isn’t a witch,” she added in a defensive tone.

“Okay, I didn’t mean it in that way,” Marielle responded with a quick glance around to see who was observing them.
