Chapter 29
“I’ll kill him!” Carson shouted whipping a large stone across the field. It loudly struck the rock formation wall exploding on impact. I had never seen him so angry.
We had snuck off to meet at our usual spot at the Reserve so I could tell him about Cyrus. There was just so much to unpack. The fact that he was the one who cast the spell on Carson; and he used Jessica to get close to him was just insane. He knew exactly what the spell would do with Carson being a wolf. Cyrus knew it would kill him. But why? Why would he want Carson dead? And even more unsettling was that Gabby was working with him? Or at least knew him. We had to find out what their relationship was, but it was too risky to push Gabby any further especially now that she was keeping such a huge secret for us. We couldn’t afford to piss her off.
Carson paced back and forth, his chest heaving and his eyes flickering red. He was losing control.
