No such things as American Horses

Just as planned, Felipe arrived at the villa, which was wholly for producing horses and mules; if it were not for the huge residential property resembling a palace, it would be just a normal ranch.

"Good god," Quincy said as he looked at the complete white horse that was trying to make a cowboy fall from it.

The cowboys were white, but there were still slaves on the property; they were responsible for doing the dirty work, and unlike a cotton plantation, the whole thing didn't need much hand labour aside from scooping poop and cycling the hay and water.

"Howdy." The owner of the place said with pride as he looked at the people admiring his horses. "I am honoured to have such distinguished guests in my humble ranch at once." The man said, very proud of himself.

The horse is in a circular pen by a white cowboy constantly trying to bring its Cowboy on his back. The movement was aggressive, but the Cowboy refused to leave the back of the white horse, almost as if he was glued to the horse itself.

Yet, the owner acted like it was business and looked like it.

"Mr. Williams, I am happy to present you the crown prince of the Colombian empire. And also one of the most influential private non-American people in South Carolina aside, of course, you." The governor said as he presented Felipe.

"Felipe De Aragon."

"It is a pleasure; I am Jhon Williams, your majesty. I will be here for your service and pleasure; I can get it for you if you want something." He explained with a pleasing smile.

"I will have that in the count. But I am afraid I have very little time left in this state as a nation's representative; I have to report to your president, or my presence would be seen as South Carolina looking to depend on the United States of America."

"Hah, that doesn't sound like a bad idea." The governor joked, and everyone laughed. Felipe just went along with it.

"It doesn't matter… as long as the status quo remains, I will have to make my way up North later this week."

"Understood, then I will be pleased to make your time here the best possible."

"I will have that in mind," Rurik said, as he had planned to stay there more than a day. The main purpose of his visit to the USA is to organize his business in person, and the other would be the direction of his investments. Especially in cotton, he plans to create large quantities of Cotton orders, especially since cotton will be harvested in a few months, and it will be quite damn cheap.

Even though he was still somewhat late, he was looking to be in the Cotton Rush of the 1800s. And for that, he needs a whole supply of things, especially horses and other beings, so his time staying in such a mansion was well-spent.

"I hope my humble home is not that of turn-off; I have tried to make it the most appealing possible in this wild land."

"Believe it or not, Mr. Wilson, I have spent most of my time as a crown prince living in tiny places. We don't have the time or the spare money to use in building castles or palaces." Felipe said with a smile. "All our money has been spent on weapons and young blood to fight for our divine rights."

"I understand perfectly… when my dad came here, he didn't have enough money to feed himself for a week. Now look at me. I am sure the Lord will smile on you and your country."

"Amen." Felipe said, and then everyone followed with an "Amen."

"Then let my house be an inspiration; you might want to rebuild it back in your country."

'Humble, huh.' Felipe chuckled and didn't say much as his attention was once again stolen by the wild horse not accepting his fate.

"Good Indian Horses combined with European Breeds… It makes one of the bests."

"Aint nothing such as Indian Horses, Mr. Williams… there are only Horses from my land. Traded for land and probably women… what you have right there is a European Horse, nothing else." Felipe gave him a bit of the history of the Savanna Horse of the USA.

"Is that so? Huh, there, I thought I knew everything about horses."

"…Their spirit might be Indian though… Their Pagan traditions might not be something to joke around. After all, they might be wrong, but they are not fake." Felipe thought as the Cowboy was using his mouth to make high pitch noises trying to calm the horse.

"Aye, their traditions of the devil, disguised of paganism." The owner nodded with the insights of the crown prince.

"Have you seen it?" Felipe asked with some curiosity.

"… you see many things when you live in the outskirts." The owner said as he nodded, "But we, as warriors of god, are tasked with cleansing this land of paganism."

There was some silence among the men, and the star was a relentless horse taking the attention of the 4 men.

"Wooaaaahhh." The Cowboy finally fell off.

They all smiled as they saw nothing was wrong, and the horse was no longer endangering the Cowboy. He got up pretty quickly.

"A wild one, heh." Quincy chuckled as he was directly the word to the Cowboy, who was back to the edge of the circular pen.

"Yes, sir, it has the devil in it. I am sure of it." Most of them chuckled as the Cowboy matched the theme of their previous conversation. "I am Henry Miller to serve you."

Felipe nodded without much caring for costumes; after all, he is no regular king either; they would loathe capitalists; Felipe is one of the biggest Capitalists in the world. The Royalty of the Empires in Europe hates him as they cannot obtain such an expontaneous success as Felipe himself did.

"This is my man… the key of the operation here," John said with pride.

"Good to know," Felipe said, not caring much about it.

"Anyways, please, enter; I reckon you have not had any breakfast, I presume?" John asked as he realized how long he had made them wait enough."

"I am indeed famished." Felipe felt awkward as the people he was with didn't know how to treat him. At least in his kingdom, there was the same admiration and respect. But in the South of the USA, everyone was their own king; every big name of the land had their own castle and territory.

Next Day.

Felipe got up as he smelled the horseshit in the air. He does love horses, but just like children, it is best when they don't shit or cry.

The horse's cries defined his peaceful morning peace.

"… Ah."

Felipe slowly got up and dressed himself. He doesn't want to waste precious time getting annoyed. Slowly moving down, he saw the main table; the governor and Quincy were already there, talking and laughing like the fat pigs they were.

"Gentlemen."

"Your majesty, hope you had a good night… Jhon was just here saying that we will go on a trip around his property." Quincy said, quite excited.

"That will be wonderful." Felipe just nodded as he sat on the table as well. "That white horse sure is rampant. A good way to wake up."

"Hah, sure it is." The governor chuckled.

Out of nowhere, a beautiful young lady entered the Dinning room with a tray with 3 Mugs. "…" She stopped and looked at Felipe for a while, not knowing what she was thinking. She was almost in a trance.

"Hello." Felipe broke the silence.

"Oh, Hi! I am Nancy William. My Daddy is John William… you must be Crown Prince Felipe… It's an honour." She said as she bowed a bit, trying to be polite.

"What do you have there?" Felipe asked as he looked at the mugs on the tray.

"Milk… your majesty." She said with hesitation.

"Please, Call me Felipe… is that mug mine?"

"It… it is…" She said as she changed her mind in the middle of the sentence. She quickly delivered the tray and gave Felipe one of the mugs. "It is warm, though."

"…" Felipe only nodded and smiled.

She quickly ran off, forgetting to serve the other drinks. And the moment she was no longer in the range of view, Quincy and the governor began to laugh.

"Calm down, gentlemen; let me enjoy my warm milk in peace," Felipe said as he laughed. They just began laughing more.

"She is truly a beauty. Though it might not satisfy your status." Quincy said as he chuckled.

Royalty normally only marries Royalty, sometimes nobility, but most of the time, nobility only marries nobility. That is how Royal family trees end up looking so fucked up.

Well, midterms and assignments are over; I will try to go back with the promised frequency. Tee-hee.
