4 days ago, before Achilles went to the casino in the southeast section.
He took public transportation to the southwest area of the city and arrived at the outer perimeter of the slums.
He got off the transportation after paying the fee and turned his head left and right to scan his surroundings. After a moment, he walked to the left into a small path filled with old, but decently looking houses.
He continued to travel on his foot for another 15 minutes before stopping at a small street and looking to his right.
In front of his eyes was a small house that didn't stand out much from the rest of the houses there. It only had two floors and a wooden door with a window at the front of the house.
He stood silently for about 10 seconds before he started walking to the back of the house. He didn't try the front door because he always had a habit of carefully locking his door when he go out.
He could also try to kick the door open, but that would attract too much unnecessary attention, which was the last thing he wanted to happen.
He arrived at the back of the house and stood in front of a white wall, he extended his left hand to touch the left side wall. He dragged his palm across the surface of the wall from left to right as he closed his eyes gently as if searching for something.
After a while, his hand stopped at a particular part of the wall, he opened his eyes again and used a little force to press on the wall. A part of the door suddenly sank in revealing a secret entrance inside the house.
Achilles walked inside the house as the door spin itself back to normal like nothing had ever happened.
Inside the dimly lit house, Achilles stood in the hallway that led to the front door. He started moving inside the house with slow footsteps. To his right side was a living room with a small wooden table and a chair, opposite the living room was a bathroom that had an unpleasant stench of feces and urine coming from within.
Next to the living room was a kitchen that had some cooking utensils inside and there was a stair leading to the second floor.
The house still remained the way it was when he left, most likely since it was only a few days since he disappeared. Hence the homeless didn't come to this place to hide out yet.
He quickly went inside the living room's left corner and removed a few bricks in the brickwork. Inside the wall were two cards which were his ID card, along with a credit card from a well-known bank called Evernight bank.
Middle-class citizens and above usually used digital watches, those things stored the data of their IDs, credit cards, etc...It was the proof of an individual's existence and the tool to conduct any activity within the city.
For low-class citizens like Achilles however, still had to rely on plastic cards like these to be considered as city dwellers.
He was still luckier than those Abandoned out there though, who didn't even have any citizens' rights, they were basically considered leeches.
Next to the two cards was a stack of money, Achilles did a quick count and estimated that it was around 200 Nero.
Combined with the credit card and the dead man's wallet that had around 100 and 700 Nero respectively, it was now enough for him to go make a fortune.
He took the 2 cards and the money from the wall and put the brick back into the brickwork.
Achilles made sure everything was secured, then left the house in a hurry but hidden manner. He called a flying cab to a nearby branch of the Evernight bank.
After withdrawing the money from the card for paper money, he took another ride to the cheap hotel and finished his task for the day.
He arrived at his room and directly jumped onto the bed and dozed off in an instant.

Back to the present, at the casino.
Achilles waited for a while before the staff came back with a bunch of tokens and placed them on the table.
He carefully placed them in his pockets and flashed the cashier a polite smile before walking away.
He moved past the tables that were currently having games like poker while receiving weird looks from those around him.
He didn't pay them any heed and headed to one of the doors at the two sides of the room. He was here to make some money, but he wasn't going to waste his time on something like card games.
'It's not because I don't know how to play those things, but I don't want to. Yeah, who cares about cards?' He silently tried to convince himself.
Achilles opened the door and a flash of light blinded his eyes, making him shut it tight. After the light died down, he opened his eyes again and couldn't help but felt amazed by the sight in front of him.
A colosseum that seemed to stretch infinitely into the night sky as a battle was happening inside it. The loud cheers coming from thousands of spectators as they spoke all kinds of colorful language:
"Fuck him up!"
"Tear his ass apart!"
"Don't make me lose my money you piece of shit!"
'Oh, the wonders of humanity.' Achilles thought sarcastically as he rolled his eyes.
Even if he was outside the colosseum he could still hear loud and clear the voice of the spectators.
He shifted his attention to the colosseum as he inwardly marveled at the sight:
'Spatial abilities sure are convenient...'
Achilles glanced around a little before seeing a reception desk and moved swiftly to its position. He knocked lightly on the desk to get the staff's attention as he said with a smile:
"Excuse me, are there any fights that are about to happen? I'd like to join a wager."
The employee who was wearing a red uniform sized him up for a second before saying with a neutral expression:
"I need to see your ID sir."
Achilles gave the personnel the ID like she had asked for and after checking the card, she looked down at her digital notebook and said after 10 seconds:
"There is a match that will begin after 15 minutes and one after an hour more, please take a look, Mr.Walter."
Achilles took a look at the notebook while holding his chin lightly in a contemplating manner.
