The Golden Tortoise Emperor's Invitation

As Feng Qian grapples with the weight of being misunderstood as the reincarnation of the Dragon God, a notion he found both astonishing and plausible, he decided to play the card of ignorance.

The Old Man was lost in thought by Feng Qian's explanation, he then gathered all the information in his mind.

After a few moments, his eyes finally opened as if he had reached a conclusion that perhaps only he could understand.

"Follow me," he said as he looked at Feng Qian, Feng Linlin, Golden Tortoise, and Phoenix. "All of you, come as well."

Led by the Old Man, they crossed the river path until they reached a vast lake surrounded by breathtaking scenery.

"Woahh, Brother Qian! This place is so beautiful!" Feng Linlin said excitedly.

"Yes, indeed…" Feng Qian couldn't deny that this place was truly amazing.

The density of the Spiritual Energy in this place surpassed even their Spiritual Spring Water Lake.

Feng Qian, however, hesitated to agree immediately. Understanding the Old Man's underlying intent, he chose his words carefully. "I appreciate the offer, but I already have a home," he stated, a hint of reluctance in his voice.

The Old Man's expression turned to a frown, sensing Feng Qian's hesitation.

Feng Linlin, who had been bubbling with excitement moments ago, suddenly shifted her allegiance to her older brother.

With a guilty expression, she chimed in, "Um, yeah, me too. I already have a home, and my little brother Tang Chen... I'm worried about him."

As the Old Man observed Feng Qian, Feng Linlin, Golden Tortoise, and Phoenix rejecting his invitation to stay here, a pained expression flashed across his face.

"Ten Years!" the Old Man began, its voice carrying a tone of earnest entreaty. "Please, consider staying here, even if it's just for ten years."

Feng Qian, puzzled by the Old Man's unusual behavior, couldn't help but question the reasoning behind such a specific timeframe. "Why ten years?" he inquired, his curiosity piqued.

The Old Man, with a hint of sadness in his eyes, sighed before responding, "In ten years, I am to undergo a Tribulation. It is my last wish to spend the remainder of my time training disciples, imparting knowledge and wisdom to the next generation."

The Old Man continued, its eyes now filled with a pitiful sincerity, "I have longed for disciples, and you all are the ones I've been waiting for. Your potential is vast, and I wish to contribute what I can to aid your growth."

After careful thought, Feng Qian nodded and spoke with certainty, "Alright, we agree. We will stay here for ten years and be your disciples."

The Old Tortoise's eyes brightened with gratitude and satisfaction.
