Little friend

Beep beep beep...... The alarm kept ringing, till sophia angrily turned it off. She lazily got out of bed and walked to her wardrope.

she scanned the ward rope, brought out her favorite jean and a white shirt, looking around she decided to wear her pair of fluffy slippers.

She took a shower, brushed her teeth, looking at herself in the mirror, she frowned, her lips were cracked and slightly white, she looked as though her blood was drying up.

She shook her head, maybe it's just because I've been tired lately it's nothing. She hummed as she rubbed her cream, put on her undies, top and then her jeans. She brushed her hair and decided to wrap it in a bun, grabbing her bag, she walked downstairs.

Walking down the stairs, she felt something go down from her waist, she looked down, it was her jeans so she pulled it up absent mindedly and continued walking. it slid down again, she pulled it up.

Ding....reality finally kicked in. she halted her steps and looked at the jean for a while.

Ah.......... She screamed.

Mrs sonia quickly ran towards her direction, what's wrong? What happened?

Mum my..my jean it slid from my waist.

Yh and so ? Mrs sonia asked as she was a bit confused.

Sophia did not reply she just took out her phone and quickly searched

Sophia what's going on?

Mom this is my favorite jean, the only jean I didn't amend at all. it was my perfect size until today.

Boohoo... She cried invincible tears.

Sophia after some time, stop going to the shop everyday. we'll go for a check-up and you have to eat everything I give you, no complains at all. Do you understand?

She stared at her daughter very well she looked very pale, what's going on with her.

Go and find something else to wear or use a belt.

You must eat breakfast today no buts, you can't continue like this.

Sophia got to the shop early, she didn't have much to do today, so she relaxed and scrolled through her phone.

Cynthia came later and dropped her things, she looked around and saw that sophia was free so she decided that she'd be the perfect person for the task.

Sophia! Come quickly.

Sophia raised an eyebrow, she sighed and lazily stood up walking up to cynthia.

Go to madam-k's store, get the black gel, a tail comb, lace wig cap. after that get me rice, roasted meat and salad from my customer. I only eat her food. Pls hurry.

Sophia are you going to buy food? james chipped in

Yes

Okay get for me too, the same thing she ordered.

Sophia stared at him, he just asked if I was going to get food but he actually knows what she ordered. Hmph she scoffed.

Buy for me too, nora joined them. But I want some beans instead.

Sophia stared at her hand, there was so much money and she had to get a lot of stuff.

She walked to food sellers stall which was very far from the shop, she purchased the food, holding Nora's order in a different hand, so it won't get mixed up.

She finally arrived at madam-k's shop and told her what she wanted. Madam-k was really experienced she didn't even ask for much details as she quickly brought them out one by one.

The last item was a bit high, but she could just climb a bit to get it.

Sophia noticed an odd behavior from madam k, she tried to raise her leg but couldn't, her brows was furrowed showing that she was in a lot of pain.

What's wrong madam k?

Oh! Nothing much i just joined a new exercise class and we did some basic work out routines this morning. I'm a beginner so I didn't find it easy. we jugged to a far distance. We did a lot of burpees, push ups and sit-ups.

It's really exhausting, my entire body is in pain, especially my legs. I can't even lift them up. I just wanna loose some weight but it's really difficult.

Sophia smiled; I understand, I've been there so I get how you feel.

Madam k raised her brows, she looked at the girl in front of her from head to toe. What do you mean by that statement? She was obviously confused.

Sophia rubbed her nose, well I've done some tedious exercise also. That's what I mean.

You! Madam-k asked in disbelief. How, why, when?

Sophia lowered her head a bit to hide her face. I've tried so many things madam k that you won't believe if I tell you.

Well...uhm... I wanted to get some abs you know it's really cool and I still haven't given up on that. I just put it off for now due to some reasons.

So while surfing the web I saw an app to get abs and increase of the coughs.....uhm tush in 30 days.

So I downloaded it and and tried it out. at the beginning it asked for my weight and height, and I inputed it, and it said I should eat more.

I totally ignored those health tips and began the exercise. It looked too simple at first, so I decided to top it up a little to get faster results.

Well you can guess the outcome. While doing some sit-ups, I had some contractions in my chest, I couldn't breathe, I couldn't even stand up, I just laid there in pain.

I weakly called my mum and I'm glad she heard, she rushed in and helped me to get up. I couldn't do anything for a whole week.

Hahaha...my dad told me to delete the app immediately and mum stopped me from doing any kind exercise at all.

The only thing she told me to do, is to eat rest and recover.

Madam-k was speechless as she stared at sophia. You've really done crazy things. Little girl.

You're already so skinny, why the exercise?

Oh no! Madam k, just because someone is slim, doesn't mean they're fit, exercise is good for everyone.

Next time I'll do it the right way without any risks.

Haha....they both laughed, madam-k was beginning to like her. She always kept a poker face and didn't talk much, so didn't know she was this funny and nice.

You know what, lemme keep this stuff and help you bring it down.

Yup I'm really stuffed. But I'll manage.

Madam k looked at sophia, she really looked pale. hmm... working in that salon as an apprentice is not easy at all. She just hoped she'll be able to cope with it.

Okay bye, sophia waved as she walked back to the shop.

She gave everyone their food and went to sit down.

Emm...sophia get me water from the supermarket, cynthia shouted, get one for me also, me too. They all requested.

Sophia gritted her teeth and walked out to get the water.

Sophia get this, sophia get that..... She was called the entire morning, she couldn't take it anymore neither could her body. she was thinking of what to do when she heard her name again.

She picked her phone and quickly ran out of the shop, she didn't turn back at all, she could hear her name as she ran but she didn't stop.

She ran into the bookshop close by and quickly jumped behind the big sofa. She hid there for a while.

Peter came out of the shop looking everywhere and even called her a lot of times. He didn't see her so he went back to the shop.

Sophia was peeping, she finally sighed in relief when she saw him go back into the shop.

A pair of beautiful blue eyes were looking at her suspiciously. Sophia was smiling as she was finally able to escape for a while.

Then her eyes met a pair of gorgeous blue eyes, she was enchanted by eyes. That was when she looked at her surrounding, the shop was empty and the owner was also not around.

No wonder it went so smooth, she quickly stood up and cleaned her body. Then she turned to the owner of the gorgeous eyes.

A little boy, mixed breed, brown hair and fair skin was sitting down with folded hands, his eyebrows were raised as he scanned her from head to toe.

Sophia was enchanted by the little figure before her, he was so handsome. She couldn't help but smile sheepishly as she looked at his gorgeous face.

She noticed something odd about him though, he had an air of hostility around him. She suddenly remembered mrs robinson's kids, they exuded the same air. The only difference is this one Is fiercer.

While she was busy checking him out, she heard her name again. Sophia, sophia.... Oh God! She dived behind the couch again.

The little guy watched her actions with confusion written all over his face. Sophia propped her head to the side.

Pssh.... She whistled to get his attention. He lowered his head a bit and raised an eyebrow. She quickly put a finger on her mouth as she pleaded with her eyes.

He didn't say anything and just moved his head back and picked up the book he was reading.

Peter came into the shop and looked around he didn't see anyone, he turned and saw a little guy reading a book.

Emm.....excuse me little boy have you seen any girl around here. She's slim fair with average height. He stared at the boy waiting for a reply.

The little boy looked up and gave peter a stern look which made him shiver.

When peter saw who it was, he swallowed hard. Eh.. I'm so sorry, so sorry. Pls just pretend you didn't see me at all and keep reading. I'm so sorry. He quickly ran out of the shop as though he had seen a ghost.

After waiting for a while and ensuring that he had finally gone, sophia finally came out.

Woah I'm glad he's gone I just want to rest for a little while but I know that's not possible because he'll soon be back.

He won't come back!

Sophia heard a small cracked voice it was so cute. Sophia quickly looked at the source of such a cute voice. Are you sure he won't come back?

...she didn't get a reply. She sat down and stretched making a lot of weird noises. After stretching she noticed that he was staring at her in a weird way. What?

Are you a wanted criminal? He folded his arm and asked seriously.

Of course I'm not. Do I look like one.. haha... Don't answer that. It's a rhetorical question.

I'm an apprentice from the salon beside this shop, I'm just a bit tired. My sides are hurting, so I just had to leave the shop for a while, I thought that at least they'll let me rest if I'm not there. But it seems I'm wrong.

You can rest.. they won't disturb you for now. He picked his book and resumed from where he stopped.

Are you sure? Cuz it's the 2nd time he has come here to look for me.

He sighed and pinched the space between his brows. Don't you find it weird that this place Is empty?

Not really cuz a lot of people don't read books. Sophia stated a fact.

Well that's true, what about the owner then? Don't you think it's weird for him to be out for such a long time leaving only me here.

Well that's true. What's wrong?

I rented this shop for a while, I like being alone.

What! Omg are you serious? Wow I can't believe you actually did that.

Yes I did, so rest for a while.

Thank you... Sophia laid back and closed her eyes.

Silence.....if a pin drops it would be heard.

The little guy turned and stared at the girl by his side, she looked exhausted, he wondered the kind of stress she was under to be like this.

He was still staring at her when she suddenly opened her eyes. Their eyes met and he quickly looked away. A little flush was seen on his face. He could feel her gaze on him, so he turned to her. What's the problem?

What's your name? Sophia asked.

My name is Timothy.

Oh! Little tim. You're gorgeous, I like you. She smiled and then yawned closing her eyes again.

Tim blushed hard he didn't take his eyes off from her. Her face relaxed a bit and after some time she slept off. He did everything quietly so he won't disturb her.

Sophia! he said softly as he smiled and stared at her.
