Chapter 1

The world of the living, the world of the dead... This scheme has been familiar to us since ancient times. Souls leave dead bodies and go to another world. It is quite logical, considering that Souls lose their shell and can no longer exist in the physical world.

But...

spirits are people who could not go to another world. They are forced to wander forever in the physical world, surrendering to oblivion. Ah...I almost forgot. These spirits can also be cursed. Tears, broken hearts, magic...all this gives rise to them - the Cursed Spirits.

Some of them join people and quietly serve them, while others choose a different path - they become monsters devoid of any signs of humanity. Their skin is black, their faces are distorted in a grimace of pain, and their eyes are watering with black tears.

I'm talking too much. It would be necessary to start the narration. My story will be about a man who found a cursed Spirit and his adopted son. His name is Jade Puget.

The night city is beautiful, undoubtedly. The lights of numerous houses, shops and posters, billboards and signs have created a real flavor. Nothing portends trouble, it would seem. Bright colors, sounds, screams, joy and laughter...

in the middle of the night, many people arranged a walk and a shopping trip. So many delicious souls.

Amid the noise of cars and the crowd, absolutely everyone noticed how several people's heads flew off. Their bodies began to tear apart, as if an invisible force was devouring them.

And then it appeared. A monster, the same damned spirit that decided not to join the people.

The spirit jerked people's heads off and killed innocent people in heaps, devouring their souls.

But no one expected this.

The spirit jumped up, already about to attack the next victim. But then it flew off a few meters.

In front of the victim stood a red-eyed man with black hair and a confident face, he had a cane in his hands.

Everyone started shouting. Someone was scared, someone was surprised. Some to death.

— Jade Puget, also known as the "Spiritual fucker", has arrived!

He lifted the cane tip up and grabbed the area just below the bent handle. Part of the cane was detached, exposing the shiny metal.

— Let's Dance!

The man swept through the crowd with great speed, his speed was like teleportation.

With one swing, he cut off the head of the Cursed Spirit.

Everything went quiet. Some calmed down. There was silence for about ten seconds. But then a ripple appeared in the air. There was a whistling sound, reminiscent of the swings of a sword.

The next second, a man dressed in the clothes of samurai of the Meiji and Bakumatsu era stood in front of Jade.

"Do you mind if I step in?"

Jade and samurai collided in a fight. The swords flashed and smashed against each other, creating a corresponding clang.

Suddenly the fight stopped. Both rushed up, climbed onto the roof of some store, the fight continued there.

—John Hope, if I'm not mistaken," Jade said quickly.

— That's right.

— And why are you here?

— I have to kill you. That's my order.

The two clashed again.

—Hmm... your sword looks like a katana," John said in passing, then moved behind Jade's back, hoping to cut him.

However, the attack was parried. Jade kicked the samurai away.

Another clang. Sparks flew, and the speed of the swords could not be measured. They simply disappeared from sight on impact.

Unexpectedly, Jade blocked another blow and jumped back a few meters, after which he soared into the air. A revolver appeared in his hand.

Several shots rang out, but all of them were reflected by the sword.

The two men disappeared from sight again. Both ended up on the roof of a tall building.

"It ends here, Jade Puget.

Clanging again, both could not hit each other.

Jade swung, but John's unexpected lunge knocked him off balance. He saw his sword, distorting space, moving towards him.

Both hands flew off in an instant. Jade fell.

— Goodbye.

Putting the sword in its scabbard, John instantly disappeared from sight.

"Bastard...

jade fainted. His regeneration restored his hands almost immediately, but the effect of the blow still remained.

My vision went dark...
