The Church confronts

Hudan and Allatou's killing intent clashes against each other. Distrust and deceit hangs in the air.

"When this battle is over, Hudan. Best believe that I will return to pluck out your tongue. Out of your corpse or if you're still breathing, it doesn't matter to me." Allatou says, her powerful voice crackling with mana.

"Your voice no longer carries the same weight, now. Things that are not unique do not interest me. Get off your high horse, sheep." Hudan Hakel does not back down, his patience run thin.

Allatou disengages from their clashes of aura. Making her way out of the city. Hudan curses beneath his breath as another message is transferred to him via magical means. The intruders have left the laboratory. Annoyed, he arrives there soon after their departure. Entering the laboratory, he quickly scans to see if anything was touched or taken.

The intruders seemed interested in a lot of things. Most things have been searched or at least looked upon.

'Who were they and what were they looking for?' Hudan Hakel thinks about the possibilities.

Continuing his search, there isn't anything of note stolen. Until he finds out that a stone is missing.

'Were they here for… No, it can't be. It doesn't have anything of researchable value. However, if Treyah sees it.'

Hudan Hakel a scientist used to control for the larger parts of his life is experiencing an emotion he has not felt in a long time. More than just rage or annoyance, he feels outraged and a sense of panic.

"They can't know…. No one should…."

"…"

"No."

"NOOOOOO!" He yells, having lost complete control of his emotions, his killing intent filling the research chamber.

With haste, he leaves the laboratory, rushing to the church.

After the Ulthris Kaahen fight, the dremora siblings and Secessus check on each other's wounds. Secessus was fine, his injuries quickly regenerating. Only Azurai was truly hurt and in need of some time off.

"Now that we have fulfilled our end of the bargain. We will have to temporarily retreat." Uzalla says in her stern voice.

"Do you have a place in mind?" Secessus asks whilst altering his blood flow, focusing on his quick regeneration.

"No, but that's not really a problem."

"Why don't you go to the Talvit estate? I'm sure that they will be appreciative of help. Especially if you tell them that you helped kill Ulthris." Secessus explains calmly.

"Do they have some way to heal me up?" Uzarai asks, holding his hand to his almost broken eye case.

"It would be strange if they didn't."

An awkward silence falls between the 3 fighters. The rush of adrenaline has left their body, and now they're confronted with reality again.

"Where are you going to go?" Uzarai asks with a mix of curiosity and concern.

"I… I don't know. I foolishly believed that everything would be over when I did my part. However, it doesn't seem like it." Secessus says whilst pulling harshly on his curling hair, almost ripping it from his scalp.

"Do you know the invader's purpose?" Uzalla asks as an experienced commander trying to get a read on the situation.

"Yes, I think so."

"I truly believe that if you do not continue to fight, then this city will fall." Uzalla says, in a grave tone, that shows she really believed what she just said.

"Isn't that quite the jump?"

"It's not, I hear the sound of battle flickering. It has never disappeared. That means that the head of this snake still lives and the longer it lives, more and more of this city will vanish. So I ask you, Secessus where are you going?"

A long sigh escapes Secessus, the shade demon. His pure emerald green eyes look over towards a direction intently.

"I will be going to the church. I believe it is there that they have to be for their plan."

Secessus stands up, spreading his devilish wings made out of pure dark mana. His eyes look unsure about something.

"We'll see you back at the Talvit estate." Uzarai says, clearly implying that he does not expect Secessus to die in this next battle.

"Of course." Secessus replies, the doubt in his voice clear to hear.

With this short farewell and unofficial promise, the emerald eyed demon of shade flies towards the church.

In the church of Luciel 2 sights are sitting nearby the grand statue of Luciel. They are not in prayer, simply waiting in absolute silence for their expected guest to arrive. They did not have to wait for too long, as an ethereal woman approaches.

Anima, the wraith queen, approaches, dragging her ethereal blade behind her. Made even more visible by the blood that stains it.

"Treyah and Botwolf, I thought there were a few more. It shows how lacking your faith always was." Anima says her misty aura already beginning to spread through the church.

"After this, there is no going back, Anima." Treyah Tuldani says in a stern tone. His recently enhanced divine powers also beginning to spread throughout the church.

Botwolf stays quiet, the large hunchbacked wolf devil is fully focused.

"I will never listen to the words of pretenders." Anima responds firmly, rejecting any hope of reconciliation.

With these words passed by, the battle officially begins. Botwolf darts to a side, whilst Treyah Tuldani summons a large amount of roots from the ground, imbued with divine power.

Anima simply cuts through any approaching roots with easy, seemingly not even breaking a sweat. Still busy cutting through the attacking roots, Botwolf comes from above. Jumping down with his feline speed.

Anima is not surprised, using her free hand to quickly grab the dog by his throat. From her right side, another figure approaches swiftly. His hunchback form moves far more nimble than expected. The wraith queen's blade swipes toward him sloppily. Simply scaring the wolf away from getting in close proximity.

"That's the problem with changelings. When their tricks don't work." Anima says whilst redirecting her ethereal blade.

Right in the middle of his stomach, Mosk who was disguised as Botwolf gets skewered by the ethereal blade.

"They end up dead." She finishes her sentence, tossing aside the near death changeling.
