Lore background (Experimental)

Hello there!

I will be using volume 0 to drop general information about the realms of Genesias and Luciel. I decided to do this since this is purely a hobby, I cannot assure a consistent upload rate. Volume 0 will allow me the chance to refresh certain aspects of the world, and as a reader could potentially be interesting as well.

What does general information mean in this case?

— overviews that can be helpful: In the beginning this will not be difficult, however I intend to continuously expand the world that I'm writing. This can lead to pieces of information that are separated quite heavily in the novel yet could be interesting to have next to each other, for example: Religions and the gods connected to a pantheon.

- I also want to make the story more "flavored" in a sense. What does this mean? As a first time writer, I want to challenge myself and strive to continuously improve. In this instance, I want to sprinkle certain detail throughout the stories, that will not be explained later on. Since the MC or other character involved will not notice or does not have the skill to notice everything in his surroundings, and make the necessary connection. In volume 0, I could post for example not yet encounter guilds with background information. For example: imagine that thieves communicate via sign language and I begin to describe certain hand movements in detail, then you can most likely conclude that there is something more going. However, if the character is not aware of this, then you as a reader will also not be aware. If you want an actual example from my book read the following sentences, if not skip to the next paragraph: The dremora's are creatures made from the soul stream and used to be an actual order. However, since the war with the "faded" most of them have been wiped out. You will have no idea what the "faded" are as a reader, as there was generally no need for. Whilst I as the author know that the "faded" are manifestations of the soul stream to try and bring back balance.

- Visual aids: the actual reason why I started to write this is the fact that I've begun creating visual aids for the world and other unique aspects. In the comments of these chapters, I will try and post these visual aids such as maps and other things. Since for some reason I can't post them in the chapters themselves.

- Potential questions: To be clear, this is a hobby. Which means that a lot of time will pass by. Making it even hard for myself, the author, to remember exactly what I wished to create (especially since I'm a disorganized mess). That being said, I want to be challenged. You can ask questions all you like, because it forces me to become more detailed and intricate. Which is at the end of the day is exactly what I wanted.
