Chapter Nineteen: Choices

It has been a week since Ryan left the country.

He's painting inside his bedroom, when someone knocked on the door.

Knock Knock Knock!

" Ryan!"

" Wait!"

Ryan couldn't believe his eyes after seeing Zhang Mingmei outside.

She awkwardly smiled,

" Hi"

Ryan stepped aside,

" Come in"

They awkwardly stared at each other," So uh-"

" Uhm-"

They awkwardly laughed," you go first-"

" No, you first" Ryan said.

" So, how are you, Ryan?"

He smiled," Well, I just got home from the Philippines, You, what have you been up to?"

She glance at her daughter who's playing with her toy doll on the sofa," I became a doctor"

" Wow that's great!"

" Yeah"

Ryan glance at the kid,

" who's that kid by the way? Is she your daughter?"

She nodded," He's my brother's child, but after he died, I took care of her"

" I see, so, you're here for vacation? Or..."

She giggled," We're back, Ryan, I'm back... For good"
