There was no flinch, no shake, and Stella stood absolutely still with her eyes peering hard at him as if she couldn't process the situation. "Are you going to leave me here alone till tomorrow?"
The man only replied, "Yes."
She stared at him for a long, long while, and slowly, her eyes flickered. She smiled, her lips curving in a cynical manner. "I see. You won't take me with you if I ask you to, will you?"
"No."
"Alright." She turned, wanting to walk to the bed and sit down, but Valeric grabbed her hand, spinning her around to have her look at him. "Just wait for me. I'll come back to you tomorrow morning. Call me if something happens, and I'll also be here. Is that okay?"
