Together, we hurried through the castle's hidden passageways, trying to stay one step ahead of the invading army. But they seemed to be everywhere, their malevolent presence lurking around every corner.
As we reached the underground catacombs, we found ourselves cornered by a group of dark creatures. Trisha and I fought side by side, our bodies moving in perfect synchrony, but there were too many of them, and they seemed relentless.
Just when it seemed like all hope was lost, a burst of light erupted from the depths of the catacombs, blinding the creatures and giving us a momentary advantage. It was as if the castle itself was fighting alongside us.
But as the light subsided, a figure emerged from the shadows—Shadow, Trisha's second mate, and a powerful being in his own right.
"Shadow?" Trisha gasped, surprise evident in her voice.
