I saw her give me a warm smile before leaving me by my lonesome with only replays of foreign memories and thoughts to keep me company.

Placing an arm over my eyes, I panted out each breath as the dull pain at the back of my head never seemed to end. Everything from my neck up pulsed in pain with each beat of my heart. It was almost like a decent bout of hypertension-induced headache, but somehow even worse.
'Farewell... friends... Loved ones...'
A voice similar to my own rang out in my mind, something I intrinsically knew to be some sort of memory that I had uncovered. The sheer hopelessness in my tone was hard to miss. It almost sounded like I was going to die.
